My power support shield suffered a pretty serious scratch right down the middle

I removed it today ( mostly to make sure my phone was ok)

my screen is still 100% scratch free ( nice)

but after using the phone ( iphone 3g) it became apparent that I need to get my antiglare screen protectors back asap

It's not even the fingerprints that bother me, its the oil slicks /streaks that my hands must be producing

At least with the anti glare protector you get an even distortion. without the screen protector you have areas that are crystal clear, and then areas that have oil on them that produce weird rainbow lines

I'm never going back to being naked again

I love my Power Support anti-glare screen. Yes, the display is not quite as nice as with no screen protection or even with the Power Support Crystal, but I gladly trade that for no fingerprint and skin oil smudge issue.

i had the ps anti glare all along, and a few days ago, in an act of madness, purchased the ps crystal, ripped off the anti glare, and put on the crystal. took me all of 3 seconds to remember why i wanted the anti glare all along. i just cant stand the finger prints!!!

now im gonna get the anti glare AGAIN ...

as nice as a naked iphone screen looks, i can't stand the fingerprints and smudges. ive been using the ps anti-glare ever since i picked up the original iphone.

I was able to see these side by side on 2 different iphones and opted for the crystal. A few fingerprints and some glare don't bother me too much, and the crystal just looks so much better.

I have the crystal film on one iPod touch and the anti-glare on my iPhone and other iPod touch. I prefer the anti-glare for the low resistance to finger motion and for keeping fingerprints out of the picture. I give the film a swipe with a damp cloth once in awhile, and that's about it. The one with the crystal display, if I am carrying it around with me, gets wiped on my sleeve or T-shirt a lot, and by day end the thing looks like a five year old was playing with it.

Side by side when I compare the anti-glare to the crystal, using the same app or a Kindle book page, I can see that the anti-glare does somewhat reduce contrast in the screen content, but I actually prefer that. I still like the matte screens on my powerbooks better than the glossy displays on my newer machines, so you can tell I was prejudiced towards anti-glare before the iPhone ever rolled out.

I don't exactly neglect the iPod touch that has the crystal display, but I tend to use that one more for playing music or audiobooks, keeping it in a dock upstairs most of the time, and I use the ones with anti-glare for movies or video podcasts and all the stuff that requires keyboard use or a lot of screen touching.

Finally, I should note that I am not much into games on these devices, maybe the brighter contrast of the crystal film works best there.

the 3G S is more fingerprint resistant so it's really easy to wipe them off if it drives you crazy

After 16 months of clear PS it was time to put a new one on. I had the PS anti-glare in a drawer so it was as if it was free. Definitely missing the "crispness" of the display, but I hate fingerprints and it's kid of nice to not worry about them anymore. It's a toss up, and I'm not sure yet who will win.
