I really like this one. My only complaint is that I wish it had a shoulder strap.

I assume you chose the iPad Pro with keyboard sizing option? They also have a customizable size which would probably allow me to make it a little thicker to carry a couple small files.
yes - I chose the keyboard size. The IPP fits just fine with the silicone case on it, but would not fit with a case that was any longer (My pad and quill oxford case can be squeezed in - but it is very tight and hard to get out - the p&q case adds about 1/2 to 3/4 of an inch longer than the IPP itself). It does have room for some papers/yellow pad,and a charging cord, the apple pencil. I can get my logitech bluetooth keyboard in it also if I want to carry a keyboard.

I use the keyboard Smart Cover, and will switch between the apple back cover and the Urban Armour back cover with Pencil holder.

Both are a pretty good combo, but if I don't really need the pencil, I prefer the Apple Back case/smart keyboard combo.

Depends on where I am going and what I am doing.

First, it lives in the Apple Silicone cover and Smart Keyboard all the time.

Short trips out I have a 13" Neoprene zip up sleeve. Nothing fancy, just some extra padding for an "oops".

Long trips I have the Eddie Bauer Boulder River 30 Computer back pack which holds my rMBP, IPP and a bunch of other stuff. This is for business trave for the most part.

I also have a Samsonite shoulder computer bag but I like the backpack style much more now.

I saw a guy at a coffee shop with a giant baby blue otter box type case. He looked ridiculous, and it seemed really un ergonomic

Thanks for the suggestions. I like the Adidas sling back pack but I can't use something like that in my profession. I'll probably have to do a combination of a messenger bag like above and the Thule MacBook case.

I also looked at this one from Best Buy but I'm not sure it would be "professional" enough. It basically gets 5/5 stars.

I use this bag and it is perfect. It has just enough storage for the essentials and as a professional Apple consultant and instructor, it fits in with these environments very well.

On a bed of satin, filled with luxurious memory foam and just a hint of blancmange.

Seriously though, I just throw it into whatever bag or case I happen to be taking with me. It's fitted with a skin and a tempered glass protector and more often than not it's got the Smart Keyboard attached. So I'm not worried about scratches or anything and any serious damage that could happen, well, that's why it's insured.

MPB sits in a Thule EVA type of sleeve case

Currently iPad Pro sits in Incipio Faraday Case. Not a fan of it, but the hard shell + case cover works in my bag that goes everywhere.

Just ordered the Keyboard and Silicone Case.

Curious how all of ya'll lug your IPP around. Not sure if the silicone case will give me the ~ridgity~ for something where stuff in my bad can get moved around a bit.

Might just order another 13" EVA laptop sleeve for the IPP

Depends on what else you have in your bag. If you carry stuff that is heavier and harder than the iPad, like camera equipment, I'd get a sleeve. If all you have are your iPad, your MacBook, and a few papers / books, then I don't think you'd need a sleeve.

I have the same bag its great and holds cords and the pencil. I don't put anything else in it, so I may carry it with my regular work bag. I don't carry my pro with me often, so it mainly for storage at home.

I use a smart cover with keyboard, Skinomi matte protector for the back and for transport I put it in my Kendall & Hyde Classic satchel.
