I go on MR with Tapatalk on my iPad and iPhone. It's the only way I do it, no computer browsing or anything. I refresh the "Latest" tab, showing me all the recently-posted-in topics from all the separate MR forums all in one large list. Going to each forum separately just isn't my thing, because basically all of the topics here apply to me.

How about you guys?

Oh, hello again. :) Tapatalk seems quite convenient to browse multiple forums, but one question, is there a permanent signature if you post from the app. itself. I've recall a number of users (here specially) on Tapatalk with their posts signed, "Posted using Tapatalk", or something of the like.

You can insert a signature in Tapatalk's settings. However, keep the forum rules in mind:

Simulated signatures. Signatures must be set in the User Control Panel and not simulated within posts, so that other members can choose whether or not to display them. You may not use automated software such as FoxyTunes Signatunes to insert content into your posts. You may use a salutation, i.e., put your name or user name at the bottom of your post.

It's okay to put "Sent from iPad using Tapatalk" but adding any links or other prohibited content that could make you a spammer is prohibited.

Thanks for the answer but I think my question might have been a little confusing. I was asking whether or not Tapatalk forces you to have such a signature (Posted from Tapatalk, etc). I haven't used the application because of this very reason, as it would annoy me.

There is no signature by default I think. It can be enabled if you want to (or disabled).

I don't remember if it was enabled by default or not, but I know it can be turned off. I simply had "Sent from my [device]" as my signature but after a few days a mod contacted me saying I needed to remove it, so I can follow that rule mentioned earlier. All Tapatalk does (when you have signatures enabled) is add the signature text to the bottom of your post when you open the "reply" screen. It's in the body of your text, not the actual signature section right under my post. (that area must be blank or something for me. I haven't checked, lol)

I asked this two months ago and I was told it's okay:

Maybe you could ask the mod again. Sometimes they aren't aware of every little policy, especially if it's not well documented. IMO it's no different from the mobile tag used by the mobile version of this site.

During the day, on my workstation using firefox. At night on my Mac using safari.

If I'm being lazy, it will be on the iPad or laptop in the living room.

I view MR from work on IE7 (that's the government for ya) in Spy mode.

At home, I do the same except through Safari on the MBP.

I saw everyone seemed to like Tapatalk a lot, so I grabbed it - I just can't get used to the layout though. I like being able to click around to other links.
