The problem is that you think the aforementioned bit requires somebody to be an expert to understand.
That's my point. People put these high expectations on what others think is trivial. Of course, that's a given as we aren't all of the same intellect, but there is an extremely wide range here, and many people think that the bottom of that range is too low. Way too low.
I could elaborate and just explain what I personally SEE as a 2nd year college student, at two campuses. It's saddening, how many students I see with no clear direction or goal, only there (in college) because it's what they're told, and with an aim to make money, and not to LEARN. (Learn meaning, not just what the text says, but to actively seek knowledge.)
Apple sells it below cost to gain more followers. Once you're indoctrinated, your weekly tithing will more than make up for the loss on the original sale.
