At the Mall in Boca Raton, FL, nobody is allowed to camp overnight in the parking lot. And once the line starts forming in the morning, Security and the Apple Store folks do a great job of making sure the line is respected (first in line outside the Mall = first in line at the Apple Store). They seem to have the process down.

Willowbrook Mall in Wayne, NJ - The mall cops designate one door to rule them all very early. They manage the line outside that door, then open that one door earlier than any other exterior mall door and walk the line from that door to the Apple store entrance inside the mall. Very organized.
 
In ML China, you queue on a line that stretches for miles and for over 10+ hours. Apple employees help to stabilize the line while the police are armed with riot gear and tear gas if the crowd gets out of hand. Apple meets 1984....
