wow you guys sure are rediculous when it comes to proper grammar and punctuation. Its not like im writing a term paper or something. But if it makes you fell better, you can waste time and correct everything i post.

Same for my nano and before that my shuffle.

Oh and by the way, that "writing" is not a sentance...It is a fragment. You should consider revising it before others jump on it.

Spell Check is built into Safari. It's a good idea to get into the habit of writing everything like your writing a term paper.

That's correct, you are not writing a "term paper," you are however, interacting with people who are trying to give you advice. This advice they are giving you is free and it would not be remiss of us to ask you to show some courtesy and respect by ensuring that your spelling and grammar are as good as you can manage.

That's what this is really about, correct spelling and grammar (doesn't have to be perfect but it at least has to be "good" is a demonstration to us that you don't think we are simpletons worthy of poor typing.

Good typing also makes you infinitely easier to understand.

Elisha, go to Edit -> Spelling then click "Check spelling as you type."

I am a male prostitute. And this is what I do to make money ->

Actually I just save and uprade every 1.5-2 years on new stuff, although my G5 will last me a little longer until a nice new intel MacTower is released.

See though, i never really meant for this topic to generate any advice for me. I never asked for financial advice or anything like that. Dont get me wrong, I appreciate the advice its great, but I was simply asking how people pay for these computers. Once again, thanks yall! (I guess writing properly isnt that hard) :)

Does the revised sentence pass your inspection, sir?

I sure fell better now that I fixed it.

Not to detract from your sentiment, but does this computer exist? I remember a 15" iMac G4 and then 17" and 20" iMac G5's...
Yikes, I meant 17" I'm such an idiot. XDDDD

Yes it does pass my inspection. The word "fell" was a typo, unlike your previous poorly constructed sentence. Thank you for revising it because my whole day depended on wether or not your grammar and punctuation were correct.

Hey AppleGuy08, what's a "sentance"? ;) :D

On a serious note, I think that the whole idea is that we all write the best that we can so others can easily read and understand what we have to say. We here to communicate with each other after all.

As far as typos and spelling errors, we all make them. I know that I do even when trying my best to be correct.

BTW, thanks to the person who gave the spelling tip in Safari. I now have it turned on for the first time so my spelling should improve dramatically. :D

Zero Expenses

Having a steady income and zero expenses - at least for the time being ;) - really helps. That's why I own 3 computers:

1. An iMac G4 (haven't decided what I'm going to use it for yet)
2. An iMac G5 (primary machine, replaces iMac G4)
3. A Windows box (for those things I need Windows for)

Simple I have a credit card. When that gets filled up I get another and so on...

haha, but realistically my second computer is a 400Mhz G3 that costed me $200 a couple of years ago. My Titanium PB was a graduation gift and that was replaced with the MacBook which, unfortunately is on the credit card. But I make around $700 a month in the summer so I should have it paid off by aug-sept. Rent's about $150, cable+internet = $56, car payment = $200.

Not to mention I'm selling a horde of stuff on eBay - like a camcorder, camera and palm. Those will help fund my computer too.

Ah, good. I'm glad were on the same page. Now I can get a solid night of rest; free from the anxiety that my grammar would wrongfully be causing others anguish due to the poor sentence structure in my posts on a computer web-forum.

Rent is $150!!?

My laptop is a graduation present. My family only buys a new computer once every 5-6 years. I hate spending money. I'd rather save it all. I don't understand people who have to always have the newest thing. But to each their own. I'm excited to own both my first mac and my first computer just for me.

I use my Nigerian uncle's funds from his locked bank account in the US. Anyone want to help me get some more? :P

Does anybody actually "live" in a frat house? I thought it was more of a "survival" situation. And wouldn't the individuals need to somehow beer-proof the computer area and / or laptop? :D

Seriously though, @ only $150 / month I could put up w/ a lot.
