Well done! Having a conscience sucks, but it'll allow you to sleep well tonight and the salesperson doesn't get fired over an honest mistake. Win-win!

David

It doesn't suck (conscience). But these days, the world is full of companies/entities all trying to screw each other and the consumer as well. It makes otherwise good people feel as though these companies should be ripe to be taken advantage of when the opportunity arises. With the economy in the dumper over most of the world, its hard to not feel as though its Apple's loss and your gain.

I am not a religious fellow by any stretch, but I do very much believe in Karma., and that "what goes around, comes around". You had the money, you bought the thing (and saved $132 that wasn't planned) and came out ahead no matter what. Going back means you did the right thing and that positive Karma will return to you someday. Maybe not today or tomorrow or this year, but it will return to you. Not when you want it to, but when you NEED it to and least expect it.

I got screwed on a car I bought. Royally. Years later the guy that sold it to me sold another and was arrested. Add to this the original owner of the car, who I had spoken to once but never met, sent me a lump of money (not enough to cover my loss) but at the point he did it, I had dumped that car and moved on and was having financial problems for completely unrelated reasons. So here is this amount of cash he sent me because he heard I got ripped off by the guy who sold it to me, more than a year after dumping that car, at a time when that money was a GOD SEND. Literally saved me from ruin.

Karma is real. Those who don't believe choose to close their eyes to it.

Good job OP. Posts like yours restores what little faith I have in humanity.
