I have the A1427. Guess that must be the 2012 model. No peer to peer AirPlay for me. :(

Yeah, I can't test it out either because I have the 2012 model. I really hope a new Apple TV comes out next month, I want to buy one.

So it's basically the version with the miniaturized A5 processors? (verses the rejected iPad A5 processors used in the initial 3rd gen AppleTVs)

I still don't get how this works. Running an iP6 & ATV 3 w/ the latest software updates. Yes I have the correct model ATV. I've tried everything

How do I enable Bluetooth on my ATV ? I see the option, but it just wants to search for wireless keyboards. There's no on/off selection

We took one of the Apple TVs** over to my folks to show pics from a recent trip (to Universal Studios).

Plugged it in, the iPad saw it under AirPlay, select and photos on the TV! Very convenient mobile video share/broadcasting solution vs. having to lug an additional piece of equipment. I didn’t even need the AppleTV remote (which we left one time, pretty much rendering it worthless since you can’t Remote if you can’t setup the WiFi).

I used to occasionally use an active tether from one of our iPhones to create a network which was an _OK_ solution, though it required the remote, plus you have to restore settings.

Side note: I don’t recall AirPlay supporting image zooming/panning when using the AppleTV which was a pain, particularly with portrait oriented images.

** Rev A model 1469
