The X im about to sell has 84% had it since launch day.
My battery has gone to 0% many times and turned off but i blame apple for getting rid of the battery % sign on the home screen, how am i supposed to know its about to run out of battery..

I have a 6 month old X that's still 100%. Coconut battery and iMazing both show it as 102%.

I also have a 6s that IOS shows as 95% but Coconut battery has it at 84% which I tend to believe more. Battery life went to crap on that phone.

Noooo! That was for nicad batteries only! Doing that to lithium is horrible for the battery. It will last the longest if you keep it in the 30-80% range most of the time.

So it doesn’t hurt it to charge it several times a day?

Seeing as most of us are getting brand new shiny phones tomorrow. I figured it would be neat to compare everyone’s battery health in the device that’s getting replaced. So What is everyone’s current battery health? As in maximum capacity percentage found in settings.

Just list your current iPhone type, how long you’ve had it and your Maximum Battery Percentage.

I’ll start.

iPhone 10s Max
Age: 1 year(preordered at launch last year)
Maximum Battery Percentage: 91%
I bought my xs max on launch day 2018. I’m at 96%. 😌

iPhone XS
Age: since Nov. 12, 2018
Battery Maximum Capacity: 100%
Charging: weekdays wireless, in the weekend with iPad charger

My iPhone X, which I donated to my wife a few days ago is at 99%, but that is only a couple of months old (AppleCare replacement).

Her iPhone 7, which I’ve been using until my phone (hopefully) arrives today, is at 80% and it’s driving me crazy 🤯 I have it permanently attached to a battery pack because it doesn’t last a couple of hours of my, admittedly very extended, coffee breaks.

iPhone X
Launch day 2017
Battery Maximum 85%
Wired charge 100% of the time 12w charger.

So it doesn’t hurt it to charge it several times a day?
If you keep it within the 20 - 80 percent range not at all. Lithium batteries don’t need to be charged and discharged fully. They are actually the opposite. They last longer if you keep them in the middle.

I have an SE that I use as secondary. Usually run the Betas on it. It's still at 96% battery health. 296 charging cycles

iPhone X launch day: Max Battery Percentage: 100%

iPhone XS Max launch day: Max Battery Percentage: 100%

Started using wireless charging 6mos ago.

Using iPhone X daily this past week, to see if I can get use the smaller screen again, (Old 67yo eyes).
I want something easier on my pocket.

iPhone XS, had it on launch date, most charges at night was done via a wireless charger, battery was 89% and I could no longer get through the day, so replaced that with an iPhone 11 Pro.

iPhone XS purchased at launch is at 97%. I think it started at 98% though. Charged on either 5 watt or 12 watt Apple charger.

My iPhone X purchased at launch was at 100% at 1 year. Always charged on Apple 5 watt charger.

iPhone XS purchased on November 1 2018
94% capacity - drpopped to 74% pretty quickly but has been consistently 94% for months now.
Either way im decently happy with it, gets me through the day most days and I have the smart battery case and fast charging for when it doesn’t.
i use mostly a 5w wireless charger and the occasional fast charge and smart battery case.

My iPhone X, which I got 2 weeks after release in 2017, is at 95% according to both Apple Battery Health and coconutBattery. Also coconutBattery is reporting 461 cycles.

For contrast, my wife's iPhone 8+ (same purchase date) as of July 1st, 2019 was at 87% after 580 cycles. Apple replaced the phone due to top speaker issue shortly after, so I will be curious to see what the new 8+ is going to report after year and half.
