I have the sppace grey of your version but I will continue to charge the way I did for my XS MAX. My max was at 98% when I sold it and I had it from launch date. This year I will take the same approach.

Keep it between 40-85% charge
don't use in direct sunlight or hot places
don't ever wireless charge
I will use a 5w charger
stick to apple only usb cords
don't game while charging
let the battery drop to 0% once a month
Let the battery drop to 0% once a month is not very wise tbh.
maybe every 3/4 months...

iPhone XR launch day still at 100%
After one year ?!?

Purchased my XS max one year ago (october 2018)
Battery health is still at 100%.
But I don't use my phone a lot, it rarely go under 50% each day.

iPhone XS, had it on launch date, most charges at night was done via a wireless charger, battery was 89% and I could no longer get through the day, so replaced that with an iPhone 11 Pro.

Adam
You replaced it because of the battery ???
you could have just replaced the battery...

Launch day 11 Pro Max 512 GB Space Gray Model. Obviously still 100%. Full Charge capacity is 4117 mAH, Design Capacity is 3969 mAH. I use the inductive charging pad, charge it till 80% and then take it off every night when it gets to 80%. When I wake up, still at 80%. Currently, my charge cycle is 10.

I got a chance to look at my old IP6 Plus that I sold to a friend, I bought it at launch and has been a daily road warrior ever since (was for me and now for her). I used to charge it up daily with my 12w iPad charger, now she’s using the 5w brick that was in the original box.

The 6 Plus original battery is at 86% and holding strong. 😵

My IP11, obviously at 100%

I know that but the Xs didn’t have decent battery anyway, even at 100% capacity it was poor at lasting a day.

Adam.
I have to disagree. My previous XS had very good battery life. From 5 to 6 screen on hours, more than any competitor its size.
my current 11 Pro is way better, for sure, but the iPhone XS wasn’t poor at all.

I have to agree, I thought my Xs was good but my 11 Pro is even better.

XS, October 2018, 88%.

I'm thinking it's the Otterbox Symmetry case that traps heat and living in a warm climate. I have always used a 12W USB charger (5V, 2.4A) but I don't think it's that.

iPhone Xs, less than a year old. 89%

I charge it when it needs charging, with whatever is closest. I have an off brand wireless charger from Costco next to my bed; and a Samsung one that Verizon sold me when I bought the phone that sits on my desk at work. I plug it in when I am on a trip or in the car. Basically I don’t stress about the battery, it’s a phone, a disposable item. It’ll wear out eventually and that’s Ok.

iPhone Xr (Nov19) just hit 97% battery health after 14 months of use.

Most nights I use a wireless charger and have been on iOS 13 since July (Beta). Never let the phone go down below 20-30% unless on purpose to reset battery (2-3x year) or in rare occasions.

Charge on and off during the day with wireless stand or 12w charger cable.

iPhone 11 purchased last month, 100%.

My previous phone (iPhone SE, 1 year 4 months, still in use today) went down to 88% a few days ago.

I've used the 12W iPad charger on both phones occasionally, but I try to use the 5W when I can.
