issue resolved, thank you very much! lion rocks! I love the full screen feature...

I love pretty much everything about Lion, so please don't get me wrong. I would say it is running slightly slower on my 2GB Mac mini. I was concerned this might happen since I know my system is right on the borderline of what Apple says that Lion requires. I may have to seriously think about increasing my memory.

I am probably going to have to go back to OSX 10.6.8, I am not really liking what I am seeing at the moment for the following reasons:

1. Files will not upload to my Mobile Me galleries for clients, just sits there stalled.

2. Every time I open a document in say, Text Edit, Word, Phase One Media Pro catalogs, it opens every document I had open since the App was last used. When just opening the app it self, instead of opening a new document, it opens the last looked at.

3. Safari does not recognize any preferences in terms of home page selection or what to open with, instead opens with the last page viewed.

4.This is a big one for my workflow, Silverfast scanning software does not work, even though the company said it is ready for Lion. It crashes on the launcher which is a selection of what part of the app suite to use.

I am using this on a Mac Pro 5.1, 6 x 3.33, 32GB of ram, 5 drives including an OWC 120 Pro for boot.

Lion is no good for me at the moment and to be honest, it is not any faster in any regard over the previous OS...I have never really needed any of the layperson gadgets like spaces or launch pad, so thus far, Lion has to go....

Just go for it, Lion runs great for me on 3GB of ram. However, that could be because I did a clean install. Is a clean install an option for you?

Probably not... I don't have anything to back up my system with, and despite being tech-savvy in general I have almost no idea what exactly that means or how to do it. I'd venture to say all of your files are lost in a clean install?

Am I the only one experiencing slower boot up? It takes around 20-30 seconds for me to start Lion on my MBP i5 (2.3ghz). It's not too slow but still - much slower than OSX 10.6. It is also worth mentioning that I didn't do a clean install since my mac is new.
