Guys how is your battery health ? Have my Xr for 2 months and on monday the battery capacity was at 100% and yesterday at 99% and now 98% ! I always charge from 20% to 100%. Very strange..

I’ve had my iPhone X for 20 months and it’s currently on 85%
The iPhone X hasn't even been out 20 months.
[doublepost=1560353947][/doublepost]My XS that I got on launch day is sitting at a cool 96%. I use it pretty heavily every day, charge it whenever I want via wireless or type-c, and also use the smart battery case.

Ok my mistake. 19 months. Got mine on 10/11/2017.

I've had my Max since Black Friday and haven't even cared to check. It works just fine that's all I care about.

My Xs that I purchased on launch day is at 97%. Not that I check it everyday since it still lasts me a full day. Although it's usually plugged in my car for CarPlay on my way home work.

I win

3.1 year old iPhone 6+ that's used almost continuously every day. Original battery. 1107 charge cycles. Charge level almost always kept between 40 & 80 percent. iOS 9.3.5. It's been charged up to 100% maybe once every 4 months. Mostly use 5 watt charger, but occasionally use iPad 12 watt charger.
My Lightning charge port is getting worn out. Not always making reliable connection with a new cable. Sometimes app shows battery health drop to 96%. Kinda fluctuates. I don't know if it's all that accurate)

That application is notoriously inaccurate

Just spoke with an Apple Rep. they conducted remote diagnostics and my phone has done 595 cycles and apparently reducing 15% in 19 months with this many cycles is to be expected.

I expressed concern that my Apple Care is due to expire in November and I would like to have the battery replaced before its expiry. I’ve been advised if it drops significantly in the coming months I can get back in contact to discuss a warranty replacement battery.

Mines clearly taken a bit of a battering compared to yours. I’ve got Apple Care but I doubt I’m it’s current state they would replace it.
I’ve been lucky with Apple batteries. My 6S showed 92% after 3+ years and the X is on track to perform similarly. Knock on wood....

It seems the battery health is wonky, just like how Apple shows your current charge level. Notice how it stays at 100% for a long time? It’s been shown that 100% on the phone is anywhere from 100% all the way down to something like 96%.

I have noticed people who say their phone showed 100% health and then started going down pretty quickly. It’s not linear like a gas tank reading. Not only that, but a lot of batteries come from the factory at over 100% of their indicated mah level. Some batteries even come from the factory at below 100%. Those are the ones that quickly show 98 or 97% health, but then they level out.

I’m a huge battery rube, but I don’t ever even look at my health anymore. I put zero stock into it. If a bad battery meant the phone was worthless, then I’d go back to my healthy charging habits. As it is, I don’t even think about it except when I read posts like this.

iPhone 7 Plus, bought at release in October 2016: 90% max capacity

I kinda have a similar experience. Like you I try to keep it between 50% and 80% and (almost) 8 months after I bought it, my XR battery is still “new”.

I never charge it wirelessly and I mostly use the 12 W charger although I sometimes use the 18 W iPad Pro charger.

It looks like “the batteryuniversity” extensive investigation work has not been in vain :)

I bought my XS Max on October 29th. It's still at 100%. I only charge it when it gets down to 5% and then all the way up to 100%. I've done this with every phone I've ever owned and have never had to replace a battery. Screencaps from both below.
Coconut battery also shows 100%.

What do you recommend? coconutBattery and iOS are both showing the same for me.
Coconut and iOS are the only 2 that are legit. No app has access to the data it needs to give you a realistic answer. I believe in previous iOS (10?) the apps had the access they needed, but not anymore.

With 95 cycles only, no wonder the battery health still stands at 100%.

Nevertheless, I don’t think it will remain that high for so long as you wait until your mobile phone is almost completely down to top it up. Li-thium batteries don’t like this at all....
