I'm still using a Series 4 that I bizarrely got for free in early 2019 (didn't bother contacting every major US carrier so the mystery was never solved). I release it from the charger before it reaches a very high percentage (>85%) when I can, but I mostly don't worry about it, so it does charge all the way up to 100% pretty often. I usually charge it for a bit in the morning and then a bit before I go to bed (I use it as a sleep tracker).

It's been well over 3 years now and I haven't noticed any significant difference in how long the battery lasts compared to when I got it. Its battery life has always been satisfactory to me. It's hard to drain it more than 50% in a day even if I do a workout.

None of the upgrades made after the Series 4 have been super compelling to me. I'm currently just waiting for blood pressure monitoring (if that's even possible) and/or the Series 10 being a banger to finally upgrade, and I'm hoping that my battery will last until then.

How is your battery doing and when do you plan on upgrading?

EDIT: Whoops. Forgot that you can check Apple Watch battery health. Mine is at 91%.

I can maybe push 24 hours with the S4. Charging is taking a lot longer than it used to. I will be upgrading just not sure if I want to go Ultra or not.

My year-old S7 is on 97% battery health and the battery life has been solid and the same as the day I first got it.

I just had the battery replaced on my S5, it started showing a service battery message. I had noticed that it started to be very close to not making a full day, and it dropped percentage drastically sometimes, like 30% in an hour of just being on my wrist.

I've had my S3 for over 4 years. It shows 90% health. I've really had no complaints with it other than those updates that required clearing the watch because of low memory. But now it'll get left in the dust by the new OS so its time is coming to an end.

My Series 4 still lasts most of the day. I still charge it from 30% early in the morning before I go to work.

I have a almost launch-day Apple Watch Series 4 watch, 40mm. Mine barely last with it only lasting a little over 12 hours before I get the low battery warning. Not sure it's worth replacing the battery since it's almost 4 years old and coming up to the last year of software support possibly. I decided to just replace it with a S8 41mm in the same color and finish.

Battery health is 81%.

The battery in my S5 is at 82%. I'll replace the battery once it goes below 80%. It holds up pretty much a whole day for me (I don't sleep with it on), but if I do a couple of hours of exercise, it won't last until bedtime (that's with cellular on & listening to music/podcasts. Not a huge concern for me, I still have an old Apple Watch that I Will wear for 30 minutes while I charge the 5.

I will update when they add more cellular bands to the watch. Or else, once my current watch is too slow on the most current software that it's a hassle to use. Or if Apple adds some really cool new feature to a newer watch. I'm certainly content with the watch that I have, but adding cellular band 71 would make it even better.

my AW5 is showing 81% battery health. It has been gradually getting worse over the last few months, but no dramatic declines. I have to charge it daily, yet I am also wearing it overnight.
The AW7 might be a nice upgrade for it if the Black Friday discounts are decent on it, since the AW8 doesn't seem to have much in terms of real world enhancements for my use. I was really disappointed with the AW8 announcement. The only feature that seemed interesting was the red night mode on the Ultra as I am an amateur astronomer, but I am not going to wear that huge watch on my wrist overnight.

My series 4 is at 70% and tells me the battery should be replaced. :(

It seems to hold up to light use still, though.

My s6 is at 84%. I just need it to drop below 80% by 12/17 so I can get the battery replaced under warranty.

Mine is at 75%. If I don't plug it in at night I can't quite make it through the next day.

I got my 6 in 3/22. I had to replace once due to mic stopped working. Battery health is 95% but I am upgrading to the 8.

I have 9 months Applecare+ remaining on my Ceramic S5 (They gave you 3 years) and my battery health is at 86%. Still get 2 days with AOD when I don't use it for anything more than music with AirPods and messaging...

I have been rocking a SS S2 worn daily since December of 2016, it finally died about 2 days ago. The battery was so swollen it popped the screen out. A Ultra with Ocean band has been ordered.

I have Apple Watch Series 4, bought on Oct 2018 - maximum capacity level 72% - in normal day I will have about 10% by the evening, on gym days always have to charge a bit during the day. Ordered Apple Watch 8, I think it’s fair jump from Series 4.
