I bought mine on the 23rd too. Fed up with waiting for the white one. I was told 7-14 working days. I just called AT&T yesterday to discuss a different matter and was told,"We will see you next week." "Pish, posh, my good man, I won't get that phone for weeks," asserted moi. "We have been seeing them come in in a working week, so I think we are going to be discussing your phone face-to-face sometime next week," quoth the AT&T man.

I am not betting the farm on it, but it might happen. If it doesn't I am not going to start whining about it, but I suspect that it will.

I was told the same exact thing. Hope they're right.

I went by the AT&T store and they told me 7-10 days I felt like they were lying to me trying to get me to buy it from them, I don't see how they can get it faster than apple.

AT&T is faster because they are shipping the phones from the AT&T warehouse.

Apple is shipping you a phone straight from the factory.

Thought I had a reservation but Apple ended up saying they gave me one inaccurately so I waited 11 hours at the mall for one on June 24th.

Reserved one for in store pick up on 6/24. The store was crazy busy and they didn't think they would get through the line by a 9PM close (I didn't get there until 6 PM), so they extended the reservation to close of business on 6/25. I went back the next day and waited about 15 minutes. I was super lucky!

Bought two June 29th, the day AT&T first had them for walk-ins. Ordered one July 20th and it was shipped July 23rd. I plan to get it tomorrow in the mail. Pretty cool.

I wasn't even planning on getting one until the day of the release, when I was driving to my parent's place for the weekend. Fed up with not having a signal unless I was in a major city with my 3G, I began calling Dallas area Apple Stores as soon as I got into the D/FW area(so I had a signal).

After a few phone calls, it seemed that it would not be possible to get one as a walk in. Luckily, I checked the Dallas thread in the meetup subforum, and someone posted that they had just bought one at an area Walmart, and there were 3 left. I went to check it out, and saw the sweetest of sights; an electronics counter with not a single customer around, and an employee behind the counter.

I had the phone in hand in about a minute. Unfortunately, due to the employee's ineptitude, it took us a good hour and a half to get through the activation process. I say us because he was unable to figure out how the system worked, so I had to get back there and figure it out for him. Things went pretty smoothly after I pointed out that he needed to select "AT&T" as the carrier and not "T-Mobile"🙄

I was happy to find one, regardless.

Minus 24 hours! That's how long it took! Apple released it on June 24 and I received mine on June 23. So, -24 hours.

I pre ordered mine at Best Buy on June 15 at about 11am. Got to Best Buy on June 24th at about 7:58am, was out of the store at 8:15am. Very painless, I don't know why people chose to wait in such long lines.
