How long, on average, does Apple take to ship a new MBP?

Ordered mine April 17, (evening) online, took free ground shipping, received it on Tuesday, April 22. Standard config refurb MBP.
 
MBP 15" w/ glossy screen

i ordered my MBP 2.5GHz with glossy screen evening of Monday 9th. It was shipped today and is showing expected delivery 18-19th June.

W00T!
 
My MBP (standard config) got shipped the same day I bought it and was with me by mid-afternoon the next day. Very impressed with Apple for that one. Of course, I still wasted too much of the morning hitting Refresh... Refresh... Refresh on UPS's tracking site waiting for it to get closer :eek:

Tracker says it left origin (Shanghai) at 2:38 PM local time today (6/12)... so about 16 hours ago. I'm pretty sure it's flying to Anchorage, then maybe to Memphis and then on a truck to me. It doesn't show an expected delivery date yet.

I'm guessing it'll be at my doorstop in the 16th, a week after I placed the order.

haha ours must be on the exact same plane cause mine left at 2:38 as well.

Does fedex deliver on saturdays?

It depends on which service is in your area, I guess.

FedEx Home Delivery delivers on Tuesday-Saturday, while the regular FedEx Ground delivers Monday-Friday.

When my iPod Touch came yesterday (I used the Back To School promotion) it was via Home Delivery, but I've also seen Ground trucks in my neighborhood.

they do ship within 24 hours if you do not customize them. Whenever you customize them, that changes the status from "24 hours" to "1-3 days".

Shipping time is the time from when they make it to the time FedEx gets it. They are built in Shanghai, China so on average, expect them 5-7 business days after you ordered it (depending on whether or not you have customized it)

It arrived at a FedEx facility 20 miles from my house earlier today, so I called up FedEx and the man (who I could barely understand) said that there was a rare chance of it arriving today, but it'll most likely arrive on Monday or Tuesday.

yea thats pretty much the same here, mine is about 10 mins away but it estimates tues. gahh i want it so bad!
 
I ordered mine on Friday. FedEx tracker says tuesday it'll be mine. It's a refurb though with 2-3 day shipping. I imagine they keep the refurbs at some locale in the U.S.?

i got it this morning at 9:30ish!!!!! OMG i was and still am so excited. this thing just works so much better than my pentium 4 dell;) hahaha

Delivers by: Jun 20 - Jun 26

Is it possible or likely for it to come in any sooner?

as long as nothing happens, like you not being home for delivery, I'd say it would come on the 20th or 21st, 22nd at the latest. every time I've ordered an apple product online, it has come at the beginning of the delivery estimate...
 
Does anyone know how long it is going to take new MBPs to appear in the shops of such countries like Ukraine? I am asking that beause I still don't see new iPods here and when I imagine that MBPs will have the same delay, that makes me sad. :(

I think nobody knows how long it will take even in Europe or US.
