How long to get used to home button?

After playing with a 7+ at a local I came away disliking the home button. It doesn't feel like a button at all and the bottom of the phone vibrates. How long did it take for owners to become used to the home button? I tried the 3 built in settings and none felt good.

I got used to it pretty quickly but I prefer a real button. The Magic Trackpad is great and feels like actually clicks but the phone doesn't. The whole bottom part of the phone vibrates so it doesn't feel like a button click at all to me.

I think this feels worse on the 7+. My hand is thanking for choosing a 7.
