iBook G3 - logic board failure after 3yrs
iBook G4 - still going strong tho firewire no longer working
refurb MacBook '08 - no problems so far

PMG4 no problems - 3 years

PMG5 ATI Graphics card died. Replaced with better card which also died. Each lasted about 2 years.

MacBook, trackpad button stopped working. Came back from Apple with superdrive no longer working but couldnt prove Apple had broken it so didnt have a leg to stand on.

13" MBP no problems as yet.

Airport Express simply stopped working one day.

I use the MBP charger to charge the MB as two MB chargers stopped working (Apple did replace one for free out of warranty - I think it was the sparks and hissing that made them do that  ).

Brothers iPhone stopped accepting input one a portion of its screen this week. They simply gave him a brand new phone which was nice.

Just waiting for my TC to die like the rest (its a month overdue) :p

Apple QC is dropping!

Late 2007 Intel iMac (see sig). Only things I've done are a SMC reset (to correct a FireWire connection glitch) and the occasional cleaning of the Mighty Mouse scroll ball. It's still going strong as ever and does what I need it to, even with just the stock 1 gig of RAM.

I suppose I could throw in another RAM stick one of these days... :)

2006 iMac 20" CD- 0 issues
2006 1st gen BlackBook- Random Shutdown Disorder, HDD died, (Apple fixed both under warranty. Later sold after I damaged it.)
2007 Blackbook- 0 issues
2008 White MacBook- 0 issues
2009 UMBP- 0 issues

SE upgraded to SE/30: no issues, other than working out the art of SCSI chaining some years back.
PB520c: no issues
PowerMac 8500: no issues. Ran Yellow Dog Linux, OS X
PowerBook G3 Pismo: no issues
PowerMac G4 Digital audio: no issues
MacBook Pro: no issues

I still have all of them except the 520c. MBP is in daily use, the G4 occasional use.

Accessories:
15" Apple AV (CRT) monitor: no issues
17" Apple AV (CRT) monitor: Got fuzzy towards the end
15" Apple Studio Display (LCD - Bondi Blue): no problems
15" Apple Studio Display (LCD - Graphite/DVI) no problems
15" Apple Studio Display (ADC): no problems, using with my G4
20" Apple Cinema Display (ADC): no problems, using with my MBP

Still have all of the LCDs, though only the ADC ones are in use.

AirPort Base Station (Graphite): Had to fix the capacitors, but still working.
AirPort Extreme Base Station (white, conical): still in use today.

:apple::apple:

G4 mini - no issues
24" iMac August 2007 revision - no issues
Intel mini - no issues

Only times I've encountered with Apple products:
Couldn't upgrade an Airport express to the latest firmware, no matter what I tried. Ended up selling it as is on ebay.
Had the iMac Mighty mouse replaced twice. After the 2nd replacement, Apple sent me a magic mouse instead.

How long have you had you computer(s) and how many times have you had to get it fixed? Just wondering...becuase i seem to have had some problems.

Had my iMac 21.5" 4GB RAM, 500GB HDD for only 2 months. Had it in shop 1x Jan 2010 to repair a noisy screen (high pitched whine associated with greater brightness). iMac continues to lock up at media related transition points necessitating a crash reset (example, iTunes Visualizer, clicking new chapter on a dvd). I'm up to about 7 resets since I bought it. So much for "it just works." While it is an improvement over my eMachine, I expected better performance. :(

Between the two of us we have 6 (had, I just gave the first one - a G4 iBook to a friend's kid). Except for the iBook, all systems are in nearly daily use - its a long story why we need this many - and we've only had one system that needed 2 repairs. Both repairs covered by AppleCare.

Ironically, we the 4 systems bought refurbished have never needed repair, and one of the "bought new" systems needed the two repairs. However, it was a 1st generation model of a MBP. Its now so used my wife has worn the letters off of the keys.

Hope this helps.

owned 3 apple computers since 1990

latest is a powerbook g4, have had for over 6 years, no problems with any of them
Ready for a new one though

Early 2009 mac mini - bluetooth was bad, entire mac replaced :) only other problems were wireless keyboard battery and mighty mouse battery life. Had those replaced and its fine.

Mid 2006 white macbook - 1) Random shut downs (logic board replaced), 2) bad bluetooth 3) bad battery 4) bad power supply 5) bad bluetooth & wifi 6) logic board replaced again 7) bad battery 8) bad wifi 9) bad power supply 10) bad battery, there's a lot more but I can't remember them all. Despite all the problems I still love it and don't want to ever have to replace it. Apple's support has been fantastic.

Other apple products:
1) 4th gen 20gb iPod - perfect
2) iPod classic 160gb, bad battery once
3) iPhone - crashes often, Peed on it after dropping it in the toilet then flushed while it was still in there and it still works fine. Didn't even trip the water sensors, there are bright spots on the screen though.

edit: The macbook would also refuse to go to sleep after closing it and would have to hard restart it, that was caused by a bad hard drive that I upgraded though - after western digital replaced it everything was fine.

My personal MBP 3 years not once. All our Apple Computers at work here, some as old as 8, never.
Contrast, my wife's Dell laptop twice in the first year.

G4 powerbook, about 4-5 years, 1 repair, eventually failed & chose not to fix
Powermac G5 & dual 20" apple monitors, since 2005, no repairs, still running perfectly
Intel 15" macbook pro, 2 years, no problems
Intel mac mini, 1 year, no problems yet

I recommend applecare for mac laptops.
.. desktops too, but there is a good chance you'll never need it.

I haven't owned any Macs long enough to know.

2007 MBP, owned one year, 0 repairs
2008 Black MacBook Owned 3 months 0 repairs
2008 Mac Pro, Owned 16 months 0 repairs
2008 imac, owned 1.5 years 0 repairs
2009 MBP. owned 4 months 0 repairs, still own

Then again, I've never had a computer ever need repairs, My HP laptop is going on four years old and going strong.

PowerMac G4 MDD Dual 867MHz, needed to be reformatted once, about 2 years ago. Never had any problems before or after that. Runs Leopard beautifully.
