How loud or noisey is your MBP C2D DVD drive when in or eject optical disk?
my mpb have big noise like bzzz-zzzzzz-zzzzzzzzzz rrrrrrr when in or eject disk

Yeah, that noise freaked me out as well. I had a good lucky streak with Macs so far (no lemon) and I was worried I had hit a jack pot of the lemon with my 15" MBP.

It turns out to be that is how the optical drive operates normally. I tried a few DVDs and no problem with watching movies.

mine is noisy, but so are all of my other macs with superdrives.

this includes a 2.1ghz iMac G5 (20") and a CoreDuo Macbook, white.

have a similar (prior model) MATSHITADVD-RAM UJ-845S (8x, 2.4x DL) in my PBG4 17"

It's noiser than my original single layer. That's just the way they are. I'm expecting the MBP C2D drive to sound the same. Goes "wwwwrrrWRRRRwrrr" 🙂
