i don't know i keep mine plugged in all the time and i still have a 100 percent after nearly 10 months but I have only 47 cycles. haha its plugged in right now.

Can't complain... almost 4 years, 145 cycles (105 on my other battery) and 85% left on both... I don't think I've even done a re-cal on either battery since I first got the computer... Might have to try that this weekend.

Technicians at my school told me that discharging and fully charging a new battery 3 times puts it to its full capacity.

That's...a little simplified, and more applicable to NiMH or NiCd after extended storage.

LiIon capacity may increase a _small_ amount over the first few cycles. No gain after that.

My MacBook's battery meter time left thingy jumps around all over the place! From 6 hours to 8 then 2 then 4... Make up your mind! :D

Yeah, I get about 4 web browsing at low backlight, and 1:30 playing WoW at full (&, natch, with the fan at full blast).

Should I be concerned about this. I have 2 MacBook batteries. I rotate them out every time one is depleted. This one is 24 months old and with 100% charge it only has 81% health. My other one is still at 100% with the same amount of load cycles. Looks like a cell died. Apple won't do anything with this will they?

Mine's doing pretty well I think:

Impressive.

Do I have a bad battery?

Yes.

I am doing great! And I know why, I run on power as less as possible, keep the liquids flowing is what the advice is, even when it is Li-Ion

347 cycles, 82% health

That's really nice.

800+ cycles? I'm hoping for that!

Well mine looks like the attached at the moment which is rather unfortunate. Ordered a replacement one from an eBay retailer today. Claims to be a genuine apple part and is going to be £40 rather than the £100 that Apple wanted.

Shouldn't Apple cover that?

BTW this is mine:
