Yeah. I almost got a 5C before I found out the S had a 64 bit processor. But I'm in agreement. I'm tired of the glass back, two toned look. I would love a 5S in green 5C body.

How many 5s buyers would rather have the 5c body choice

I think your right, next years 6c will inherit the current 5s specs. But I bet the new iPhone 6 will have some amazing new features which will push me to the new designed 6. If they go with a larger screen I may have to go with the new 6c next year and just forget the cool new features.

I would also bet the next iPhone will have more rounded sides, and maybe they will skip the aluminum altogether since so many people are digging the the Plastic ones, or some new material which would be cool.

I suspect that next September, Apple will introduce an iPhone 6, and port the 5S components to the 5C, resulting in an iPhone 5CS.

Based on the iFixit teardowns, the system boards of the 5S and 5C look similar in terms of physical dimensions. I think porting the components would require only minimal effort.

plastic over aluminum no thanks

CNC machined aluminum does have a cool factor, because it has a precision-crafted look and feel.

However, there are advantages to plastic, namely that plastic tends to not dent. This makes it ideal for users who may not be so careful with their devices, like children.

I flipped back and forth between Mac and Windows over the years, and there were always some generations of Apple product, like the white iBook G4, that I never bought but wish I'd owned. The 3G/GS is one of those products.

The 5C does remind me of the 3G/S, but it isn't a big enough jump over my 5 to justify the cost, so I'm looking forward to a 5CS with the dual flash and TouchID goodness.
