How many Apple chargers have you killed?

I think I've only broken 1 to the extent of it not working. However, my girlfriend is a charger serial killer. I think she's broken 4-5. I just took advantage of a groupon deal of 3 lightning cables for $25.99.

5 Mac chargers (going back to an iBook), 5 lightning cables, 3 30-pin, all have survived without breaking.

Over a dozen 30 pin cables. They always end up fraying around the connector. Would be fine if I did not use my phone while it charged. Sadly though the support at the ends is lacking.

chargers and not lightning cables right? 2. my mac book pro retina charger was fraying and i had to replace it, i had square trade and they reimbursed me the same day

my iPad charger failed under warranty, it was only putting out half the power, and apple replaced it

before apple, the last time i recall ever having to replace a charger that actually failed was the power supply for my Us Robotics Courier.

apple lightning cables fray easy, i go through them regularly. the cvs lightning cables they sell for $8 fail and break apart i don't buy them anymore

i killed 4 lightening cables already cuz those things are utter crap. the connector always tries to twist the opposite direction and puts too much pressure on it if that makes sense. my old ipod and iphone cables still work fine.

That fact that many/most have no issue, but those who have issues go through multiple cables multiple times (to me) speaks more to one's use and treatment of the cables than of the cables themselves.

I have killed way too many. Although I did seem to get on ok with the 30 pin connector ones.

To try remedy this because they are all my fault for stretching them. I have bought the longer cable, I didn't know an official Apple one existed and I am not keen on buying the cheap ones due to stories read online about fires etc

I managed not to damage any official  chargers since owning the iPhone 4 onwards.

Non authentic chargers could be the reason why some people go through more perhaps due to quality of manufacture.

I have yet to kill a lightning cable yet. I have killed a 40 pin cable when I have my 4/4s. But usually I'm pretty good with not destroying cables.

Well for my iPod (30 pins) I haven't broke any and the cable is almost 5 years old. Neither it happend to the cables of my father's 4S but with my iPhone 5 I broke already 3 and this last one is going to give up very soon..

I'd like to know how many of the cable/charger murderers disconnect the cables by pulling them from the cable rather than grabbing and pulling the connector. The jury will be lenient if there is no additional charge of cable abuse.

My family broke about 2 or 3 out of the dozen dock-connector cables that we owned over 8 years since the iPod Mini came out.

We've broken about 15 lightning connectors in the last 3 years. It's a **** design. It's not like I suddenly decided to start treating my cables rougher the day they were introduced.

Also, to all the people saying "be gentle with them" - Why do the cables on my nightstand (1 use per day) wear out at the same rate as the ones in my car (multiple uses per day)? I admit I'm rough on the car cables. If they fall apart that is my fault. But all of them do it no matter where I keep them or how I use them.

I've owned every iPhone since the 3Gs (save for the 6 Plus, as I went with the regular 6), and I've never had a charger die, but have had one lightning cable die. It died after two years of being pulled, stepped on, ground against carpet and dirt and small rocks (it was in my car, and was a normal 6' one, so it would often end up on the floor of the car and get stepped on when I got in. Now I have a 1' for my car.)

I also have multiple chargers/cables handy. I have one at my work computer, one at my home computer, one in the car, two on my nightstand (iPad and iPhone) and one in family room for mid-day topping off if needed.

How's 1-5 average? Just from the votes 0 is the average.
When I first made the poll, I assumed the average person had broken at least one. Since then I've been proven way wrong. I think I've had really bad luck with chargers breaking on me personally
