I had thought about waiting for the the new iPad mini with Retina Display, but given I've seen my brother's iPad mini, I decided against it because the text display and graphics would be too small for comfortable reading. Glad I got the iPad Air instead. :)

I'm skipping the Mini this generation, and got the Air, will get the next generation Mini, likely with more than 1 GB ram, and touch ID.

Am pretty happy with my 1st gen Mini

I think that the ipad mini with the ( supper retina 326PPI) that coming this month
will be great, no surprise why Apple delate the mini (ipad air only 264 PPI.

The mini is still too wide to fit in suit, sport coat, and a lot of jacket pockets so I don't see the point of going with the smaller screen now that the Air is here.

I have two jackets and the mini slips easily into both of them, while being just big enough for me to comfortably read pdf documents (though the retina screen might be an improvement). It goes everywhere with me. I wouldn't want anything smaller or bigger.

Forget the Mini, I have two outerwear garments that the Air fits in their pocket and perfect being the current weather lately in my area. PRICELESS!

"Only 264ppi."

You guys are making it sound like the Retina on the 9.7" screen is unusable.

Get over it. It's perfectly fine. There's a point where ppi just doesn't matter anymore because it's pretty much imperceptible.

And the mini 2 has been delayed because of production issues, reportedly.

I'm jumping ship to the Air. Finally decided yesterday. Got rid of my Mini a few weeks ago when the Gamestop 30% deal showed up. My plan was to get the Retina Mini. Unfortunately, I didn't want to spend a lot of cash as I have enough in BB Gift Cards to cover the base Air. Wouldn't have enough memory though so I'll have to shell out a little for 32 or 64, but didn't want to wait for Retina Mini to come out, have limited supply as rumors are indicating, and didn't want to play the waiting game with BB to get one. I was all about the portability aspect of the Mini, but at the end of the day, I'm pretty much either at work or at home, so I didn't really need it for that reason.
