wow - that is amazing.
Listen to this peeps. 20 Cycles: 29% 1462 mAh.
Needless to say I have a new MacBook battery in the mail.
Age: 6 Years, 1 Month
Current: 4085mAh
Original: 5020mAh
Capacity fluctuates between 75%-80%
I feel like thats pretty good for over 6 years.
Only issue is that the batter is swelling. I heard that so long as it says "Replace Soon" in the battery tray, they are likely to replace it, and I feel that I have an extremely low cycle count, and good health for such an old battery...
do you think I have a chance to get a new batter courtesy of Apple?
Aren't they suppose to last about 1000 cycles before they drop below 80%?
IIRC, the safety recall was limited to 4 years from date of purchase.unless (light bulb just went on over my head) there was a safety recall on them (possible), you would have to pay for a replacement.

Here's why:I'm currently at 78% after 159 cycles. .
Not sure why the performance is so bad this time round.
Run on battery whenever you need to and plug it in whenever you can. You can plug or unplug any time you need to, regardless of the charged percentage, and you never need to completely drain your battery. Just make sure you don't run on AC power exclusively, as your battery needs to be used regularly to stay healthy. The link below should answer most, if not all, of your battery/charging questions. If you haven't already done so, I highly recommend you take the time to read it.plugged in 24 hours a day mostly.
The built-in batteries in the newer Mac unibody notebooks come pre-calibrated and do not require regular calibration like the removable batteries in older Apple notebooks. Can I do anything to "calibrate" it seems unibodies don't need calibrating.
