405 separate entries in my list (each representing a different item bought), but quite a few of them are TV seasons or multi-disc packages (for example, the Alien Quadrilogy)... so I'm gonna guess over 600 DVDs in total.

I only have the Star Wars Saga and the Lord of the Rings (Extended) trilogy..............

That's my collection. Plus one DVD about World War II.

Delicious Library says 358 titles (more if we count disks) but I haven't scanned any new titles in ages. I'm sure we are well beyond 500 titles by now.

I've always loved movies, but never really had the extra cash to justify the expenditure, Doing a quick count...102 including the four I just bought off Amazon, but have not yet arrived. I saw some people with 400+ and one with more than a 1000. Just wanted to ask, "Where do you live, and are you by chance going out of town any time soon?"

I probably have about 50 ... and I wish that I had only purchased 5 of them ... I've watched all of them a few times but at the same time I wish I had the moenyback

Over 400 (even if TV box sets/special boxed sets count as one - ie Lost season 1 counts as 1 not 6, Batman Begins double disc directors edition counts as 1 not 2, etc)

Probably about 30. About 10 them are TV shows though. I have different seasons of 24, CSI, Seinfeld, The Ali G. show, and Chappelle's Show.

They're just so fragile. As a medium for storage and data, I think they should be more durable. Plus, they're relatively inefficient in terms of how much energy is required to get the data from them. I guess that's why.

Course, the main reason's because I scratch the bastards so easily. :p
Thats exactly how I am, so I started ripping every DVD I own just as a backup. Then I turned it into a media center. I have all of my DVDs stored on a seperate Windows machine which is networked to my MacMini which is hooked up to the big screen. I never have to look for a DVD, it never skips or freezes, it all works flawlessly since its 100% digital. I love it! :D

Back on topic....I have maybe 100-150 DVDs or so.

Probably about 100 before box sets. I used to buy them all the time. My old neighbour has literally about 1000 so I tend to just borrow his, he does have like *everything*. I've got DVD Boxsets to Sharpe, DS9, Star Wars, Stargate SG1 and Star Trek DS9 though and am thinking of getting the Stargate Atlantis and Star Trek TOS boxsets in the near future. I'll probably go out and mass buy the Charmed boxsets when they're all out too - big fan.

300+ in my collection including TV shows and boxed sets. Everything from cheesy 80's movies (John hughes is the man) to Japanese classics (like Rashomon and seven samuria) to hollywood blockbusters and TV series (simpsons, family guy, the office both british and US versions). Recently I've been trying to get more of the classics. (I just got To kill a mocking bird SE, Dr strangelove, and The caine mutany). I think I've became addicted to buying movies lately.

Probably about 75, including box sets and movies. I'm still trying to make it through the Looney Tunes Volume 3 set. Just not enough time.

I suppose a more pertinent question...

"Have you watched all the DVD's you own?"

I would say definitely not. I still have Johnny Quest Volume 1, Battlestar Galactica Season 1, Return of the King extended edition, Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, White Christmas, Crouching Tiger, and countless others to watch.
