Up to 20 hours a day, depending on mood and whether it's weekend or not. 90% of the time is spent working as a freelance web developer.

Plus 8 hours per day of using windows at my main job.

Your all sick, I spend max 1 hour on my mbp, a few mins in games school ECT,
Not really.

I'm a computer science student currently. I'm always working with code. This is how I'm going to make a living in the near future. Just because someone spends a lot of time on their computer, it doesn't mean that's all they do.

I still play tennis, go for a run every morning, spend time with my dogs, and go camping and hiking. But when I have to be serious, it's mostly for work that has to be done on computers.

I'm using it 9 hours at office, and 2-5 hours at home, but with the same MacBookPro!

Boy there seems to be a lot of us out there that use our MBP both at work and at home. I'm the same - 8-9 hours at work and then another 2-4 hours at home. In many cases, 4-8 hours on the weekends too. All for work and my home business.

I'm one of the few (very few) who sits behind a glowing apple logo in my office and damn proud of it!

I'll keep it simple:

When I wake up, first thing I do is open the lid.
When I sleep, last thing I do is close the lid. On weekends tho, is a different story.

I'm a computer science student also

For those who use Windows at work would you be happy if your job COULD switch to Apple?

8:30 - 5:30 work plus another 1-3 hrs non work, so 9 to 11 hrs per day.

I used to use Windows at Work, wife bought me a MBA for my birthday about a month ago, and my Dell laptop is collecting dust in a corner.

Apart from having to be a bit clever on supporting myself (along w/ the help of a few other "rogue" Mac loving coworkers) I'd say I've probably gained at least 5 hrs in productivity per week (assume about an hour of my time in a day waiting for Windows to respond...recovering from crashes, system hangs etc.).

Not to mention the increase in satisfaction, which is huge, in using the Mac all day compared to Windows. Life is too short to not at least enjoy your computer, especially w/ that much time logged.

8-10 hours at work and another 6 at home is my normal use. Once a week or so I go beyond that but I try not to.

This is so damn true.

I'm in the camp of ~12/day. I spend the majority of my work day, 9-10 hours, on a Mac then anywhere between 2-4 hours at home (some/most of that time working as well).

Way too much time on a computer. Wonder what I'd do w/out one???

quite a few, maybe 5 hours/day of actually being on it although it's usually on most of the time.
