I bang on mine pretty hard all day (see my signature) and have never once had to charge it within a work day. I am very active from say 9 am until 7-8-9pm without issue. I occasionally get a shutdown if i continue to 10 or 11, but that's still pretty spectacular IMO.

I do however have the brightness low. Call it around 30% (frankly I'm not sure how you guys above go too much beyond that. Even 50% is too bright for my eyes!

Maybe the iOS version makes a difference? The 10 hour battery metric was done with iOS 3.x which wasn't as capable as 4.2.1. Though I certainly think the new features in 4.2 are worth the increase in battery usage.

This is what it is.

I just updated to 4.2.1 last week because i got real Internet back.

My battery life sucks now, AND, it is taking longer to charge.

It took me a few days to realize that it was the only thing that had changed. Oh, other than the fact i went from 100% 3G usage back to wifi. But I woul think that should have HELPED the battery life?

I also realized i hate the on screen orientation lock as much as i thought i would, but like the app switching more than I thought i would.

But I'd give up folders to get my battery life back to what it was a week ago. Maybe I should see if turning off wifi again helps.

Meanwhile, when my daughter heard about my crappy battery life, she decided she didn't need folders! LOL!
