iPhone 5 replacements under warranty #

One for WiFi issues, it wouldn't connect to certain networks where a friends iPhone 5 and another with and iPhone 4 sitting right next to me would be able to. Much better now on number 2.

First replacement was due to _heavy_ long scratches as witnessed by my sales person as I unpacked it in the Apple store.

Second replacement of mine was for a failed home button that rendered the phone completely bricked.

First replacement of my wife's was due to a display that remained half normal & half yellow after waiting the prescribed time Apple suggested.

First replacement for my sons was due to an inability to connect to wifi. Even in the Apple store with their wonderfully strong signal wifi was dead.

First replacement for my daughters was due to an intermittent yet frequent & easily duplicated keyboard problem.

Despite what seems like a lot of replacements, other than the down time and hassle, I'm not complaining.

Why? It's simple really. I buy four new iPhones each year, and I have been since the very first iPhone. Not one has been anything less than excellent till the iPhone 5.

With such a stellar track record not to mention the vast number of new Mac laptops & other Apple gear I've bought over the years, I can overlook it.

One. First one, which I got on launch day, was, in every way, flawless. One day, the down volume button stopped working. The replacement is visually flawless, but the sleep/wake button rattles. Doesn't bother me too much.

None. I've had mine since November and there are no issues. Didn't think I would like it more than my 4S, but I do. :)

I'm on 7 or 8. Every time it gets scratched i take it back make up some stuff and get it replaced.

You're so cool. Learn to take care of your phone. Back in June you said you were on your 4th replacement. I've had my phone for many months w/o a case, and I don't have a single scratch or scuff.

I'm having a hard time believing Apple would even allow anyone to have that many replacements. I'm pretty sure they'd flag you.

My mom is on replacement number 3 and I'm going in tomorrow for screen replacement number two - a dead pixel for the second time in a month since getting the phone. I'm gonna ask for a replacement phone this time and see what they say... The lock button takes more pushing and isn't as clicky as every other iP5 I've seen so hopefully that line works otherwise I'll probably have to go back yet again in the future.

first one replacement for light leakage
second one for no service (with any sim card there wasnt any signal)
third one for 3G cellular data connection dropping everyday
So far no problems with my iPhone5, love apple support and their products.

As of right now none. I live too far from a Apple Store, and there's nothing really wrong with my iPhone except sometimes it won't play music. Which is weird, when I move closer to one in Aug, I'll see what's wrong with it.

I'm on my third one - Original release day -power button went out in Feb 2013. Replacement took a swim in my front loader washer in June 2013. First phone I have lost or damaged since 1999. On my third and she is working great. No more jailbreak for me.

My youngest son still on his original one I bought him for his 24th birthday present.

My oldest son is on his third too, first one launch day was 3 days old when it developed a green hue on the right side of the display. Apple replaced with a new one. One week ago that replacements power button went out. He lost his j/b along with me.

So far I'm still on my first. A few nicks here and there, but it's holding up pretty well. It also took a nice tumble while I was getting out of the car. Left a scuff or two on the sides. I no longer care like I use to about keeping my device in pristine condition.

I do have AppleCare+ though... If any future scuffs bother me, I'll just take my phone in and get another one.

Only had one replacement. First phone worked perfectly fine for a few months and then the lock button started to give me problems. Eventually it wouldn't even lock the phone until I pressed it like 8 times.

Went in to the Apple store and the guy immediately replaced it. He was understanding and knew that it was a real problem.

And for those of you wondering, I did not have Apple care to receive the replacement.

1. Speaker would fade-in and fade-out.
2. Volume button stop working about a month later.
3. Yellowish screen.
4. Dead pixel.

Yup thats about it! Finally found a near perfect iPhone. I am still having problem with the speaker and yellowish screen, but i can live with it!

About to have one because my lock button has stopped working completely.

So i got another iPhone replacement like i said in the OP, sticky mute button :/ but my girlfriend got the same problem as you, but hers was an iPhone 4s that was 212 days out of original warranty but like 60 days out of warranty from her last replacement because apple gives you 90 days when you get a replacement.

So now i look like the bad guy because im the one that got my girlfriend to get an iPhone over her blackberry and now shes mad because pretty much 1/4 of her buttons (the lock button) stopped working when her 3 year old blackberry has like 40 buttons and all of them work but her iPhone is like 5-6 months old...
I feel like crap that this happened to her and shes stuck with a broken phone.

Surprisingly none. Typically when I had my iPhone 3GS and 4S they both were replaced twice due to hardware error. My iPhone 5 has had no problems. Fingers crossed. HA

As of today I'm on replacement 1.5. Got the screen replaced last month due to dead pixel and today had the phone swapped due to moody/limp power button and another dead pixel. I hope this is the last time I have issues! We'll see! *fingers crossed*

0 replacements. Launch day white iPhone 5 32gb, Verizon version. No problems. Sent from my iPad.
