Surprise, surprise - no more orders eligible for the June 24th delivery date.

Any guesses on how many iPhones were sold today?

Another thought - how quickly would they have sold out if the site hadn't spazzed out?

I wonder if this will break the iPhone 3G's sales number record (that's the best selling iPhone to date right?). Pretty amazing feat if you ask me... ;)

Someone posted over 2M, but not sure about that. It would explain a lot though.

Again, will this set the new record since the iPhone 3G?

I don't know... I guess you would have to do some research to see if more than that were sold.

Factor in all iPhone 3G users from Summer 2008, plus new recruits, plus people who had a hand-me-down iPhone and you got a **** load of people DDoSing away at Apple, AT&T & BestBuy (oh yes, they were hammered too, but they do all their pre-ordering on a seperate system and then at early morning do the bulk transactions, so the customer sees only coordination.)

I know at one I had about 12 of them sitting in my cart before I was able to buy one, does that count as 12 or 1? hehehe
