How many men are getting the white ipad?

If your a man, which color ipad are you purchasing?

I'm leaning towards white, but I think black remains the "safe" color. I read that white distracts you from the screen or something. I guess I'll just have to see if that's true, if it's not, then I'll definetly get white.

Think about it. If this question has to be asked and talked about on couple of threads then there must some negative connotation with a man walking around with a giant white iPad. Why else would this get repeatedly asked. Men give it up, you're gonna look like a target carrying a large white obnoxious device.
(We all know black makes you look thinner). LOL

Of course, just because there's a connection there doesn't mean you have to care...I personally don't. I've always enjoyed my white Apple products.
 
Going for the white; I've had the black one and it's rather heavy on the smudge show.
Plus there is something odd with how your eyes defocus over time with the black. I'm curious if the white's contrast will lean better towards longer usage.

There should be no inferred sexuality towards either black or white, they are the root colors--they have no slant. Now if you picked up a pink cover for either, then you can find slants. :p
 
Ordered the white...it will EVENTUALLY be the wife's iPad though (she'll get it in about 2 months). I'll see how I like it before buying mine...right now I'm leaning towards the black...but let's see how it goes with the white one for a bit.

I did not order the Pink case though...
 
I have a feeling it was my first gen iPod in 2001 that turned me gay. That wretched product was responsible for a lot of 'turnings' which were only partially remedied with the (long overdue) release of the 5th generation iPod which was the first to be available in normal, heterosexual black.

I'm definitely going for a black iPad 2 as I want to switch back to being straight again.

I'll let you know how it works. I was really leaning towards getting the white. I like it. But, their if definitely something to the movie view perspective of black. White may be distracting. So, I ordered black.
 
I have a white Nook (b/w) that I got 2 Christmases ago. It's the same shade of white (blinding) as it seems the iPad is. It doesn't make a difference when you're inside but if you take the unit outside at all, the white reflections really can give you a headache.

I'm assuming that the iPad will have the same painful results. Personally, I'm going with black for this reason. Although a grey one like Amazon's new Kindle would be a cool alternative.
 
Does anybody think the white iPad might have less problems overheating while outside in hot climates? That's the only reason I am considering a white one.
 
if you are really leaning towards a white, why wouldnt you buy one and then if you dont like it, return it?

with no restocking fees there really is no reason to try out what you really want first.
 
I don't think it looks "feminine," but personally I'm getting black because I happen to think it looks better. (I really like the black iPhone/iPod touch and aluminum/black iMac/MBP look, for example.)

If he had white skin, then probably he was dead.. No people that I know of on this Earth have white skin(pure white, most "white people" are, well, you know how :) )
 
I am a 13 year old boy and I kinda like the white iPad. I will be buying it myself so it will be awhile till I get it but do you think white would be too girly? And also my mom thinks the white will get yellow, do any of you know if it will do this? Is the bezel plastic?

I agree with you. And what about socks? We all wear socks, does that mean we are all feminine? And the moon and clouds must be feminine too. Cmon people. Seriously it is a matter of opinion even though some opinions may be crazier that others.
 
I wish I had the choice to be picky with color. I'm just ecstatic I got one today, whit or black.

I'm getting white because it matches both my Yukon, (You think that a white Yukon is feminine?), and both my boats (one is a replica 18th century boat, the other a Catboat).
 
lol, does it really matter what color it is?

Personallly I like both, but i would get white because its different from all the other apple products that use the same black & silver color scheme.
