I'm ashamed to admit I drive my car 4 miles.
None, and it's boring as sin
I'm in sales so it varies, but I have 23,000 miles on my six month old car.
110 miles round trip..everyday
I drive about 12 miles each way. It's not too bad. Most days those 12 miles take around 14 - 20 minutes, depending on what time I leave. If I leave during rush hour, those 12 miles can take over an hour. :-(
This is why I work 7 - 3:30. An hour before any of the mess.
There was a similar thread not long ago:
Slightly different, I guess, because it was time-based instead of drive-distance-based.
I carpool about 30 miles to work every day.
I work at 7 to get away from my annoying coworkers.
36 miles round trip
30 miles each way
I think my commute is somewhere around 13 miles...just far enough to be a pain each day.
No idea how many miles that is, but - 30 km from my home to the office.
3 Miles by Bike one way
cos i hate cars
About 4 for me as well. It only takes about 10 minutes to drive but if I tried to catch a bus it'd take at least 45 minutes.
Zero: I walk for 10-15 minutes then get a computer controlled train to work (about 10 more minutes). I can (and have) walked the whole way. Takes about 45 minutes walking.
I bus for 15 minutes, not far at all.
I don't usually drive to work, I usually take the train. If I drive, it's about 20 miles, over an hour each way.
24 miles. About 35 minutes, 30 on a good day.
I'd say about 7 or 8 one way. It's amazing how the drive in and back becomes so monotonous that you to work and realize you don't remember driving in.
Wow...never thought of it that way. I have the news on the entire way and just arrive at work and get out without thinking about it at all. Sad.
On the days that I drive, it varies.
Minimal is around 10 miles. (most common)
Maximum around 80 miles. (2-4 times per month)
I partially work on site so mileage varies depending on the number of sites I visit, scheduling and site location. Most days are around 15 miles though some are over 80. Some days are none if I only have customers dropping off equipment to be repaired.
For two years of college I commuted 45miles each way to school. I was also at school from 9AM to 9:30PM 4 days a week at that school for a semester with a straight 6 hour break spent in the library studying, doing homework and reading various literature (obviously I pulled a 4.0 that semester) Fridays were shorter, other semester were a more sane 10AM to 9PM 3 days per week. I always took the classes I needed for a semester no matter how much they were dispersed throughout the day.
Via car its a little over 9 miles, though with a bike its 13 miles. Can't take freeways with a bike.
17 miles to work 25 home because I have to go and pick up my daughter at daycare then go home. (My wife takes her to daycare.)
