I usually take the train, ride my bike or walk on nice days... if I were to drive, it would take me 30 minutes to go those 3 miles.

90 mile round trip per day, and its a crappy busy route too!

I've been offered a new job where I can work from home all the time, but I'm not sure if that's the right move for me...... but god I could do with getting out of the traffic (and spending less on fuel!)

I'm ashamed to admit I drive my car 4 miles. :eek:

I'm not ashamed of driving approx 3 miles to work. My partner and I work in the same place so we essentially car-pool. Most days I need my car at work to then go to various clients or hospitals (with heavy equipment) to do filming, have meetings.

3 miles worth of petrol, wears and tears on the vehicle are significantly cheaper than two bus tickets ( which would take an hour, with a change, and quite a long walk ).

So yup - not the best 'green' option - but it's not a tank of a vehicle - and it means we can carry all the plastics and card from work back home, to put thru our recycling :)

I only have to drive in to work on Fridays. On average it's >28 miles round trip.

Sure does save on fuel..........:rolleyes::rolleyes::rolleyes:

5 miles one way, best commute I have ever had!

Life is so much easier when you live close to work, I used to go 30 miles one way. Totally different lifestyle.

During the week, I walk about 3 blocks down and 1 block over. Weekends, I drive about 13 miles 1-way. Living downtown has its perks...

I'm in sales so it varies, but I have 23,000 miles on my six month old car.:eek:
I used to drive 5000 miles a month when I was working in the sales position in the states. My record was I drove non-stop from NYC to Charlotte NC in 10 hours (I admit I had to stop 2 times to get gas for my company car and take a leak while doing that).

I drive .5 miles to work every day. Five minutes to get to work and most of that time is waiting at traffic lights.

Most of my work time is spent in a car putting a few hundred miles on it dailey.
