First day owner of an iPhone 12 mini Product RED 128 GB.

It's my fourth iPhone (after the 4S, SE, and 8) and if Apple keeps selling mini versions that are flag ship tier phones I will keep buying them. I've been using mobile phones for more than 20 years and this is my favorite one.

I know it's stupid to say that someone loves a product and Apple is talking about this nonsense for years ... but I really do. I like all of my Apple devices but I love my 12 mini and my Apple Watch Series 3.

Just wanted to see how many here actually own a Mini. I do and i love it, my favorite iPhone ever. I can hold it normally and reach the top corners. Really hope Apple brings it back next year.
Really like my 12 Mini. Thought I would; I had found my previous phone, an XS, to be a little too large and heavy to comfortably carry in my pocket. This Mini feels just fine. Also, for some reason, I find that I handle and use it a lot more than I did the XS. When I watch TV, I often keep it on the table nearby to look up stuff on, which I rarely did with the XS. I'm surprised that the Mini is not more popular than it is. I will not happily go back to a heavier phone.

iPhone 12 mini user here. LOVE it and the size. The only thing I’d change would be the wide-angle lens. I’d much prefer to have the 2x telephoto than wide-angle. Other than that, I love it. Exactly what I wanted.

I’ve owned an iPhone 6S, iPhone 8 then iPhone SE 2020 and now iPhone 12 Mini 128GB black, fits perfectly the hand !

Blue 12 Mini checking in. I've owned iPhones since the original launched and hated the unwieldy size of my XS the most. Obviously that's subjective, but I dropped it more than any other iPhone and it's the only one I ever cracked. The Mini felt like such a perfect "return to form" for the iPhone. There was time when Apple's engineering flex was in making new phones thinner and lighter while upgrading features. I feel like the Mini embraces that older philosophy and it works wonders with an all-screen (notch) design. I agree with the comments above that I would trade the ultra-wide for a Telephoto but it's not a huge deal. Also wish battery life was a little better but again, not a deal breaker. The return of ergonomics is far more important to me.

Yes, one more here and I really like it. Like most here, I hope they will continue this size with future models. Will buy the same size next year if the camera is better, if not hopefully the year after that 🤞🏼

My wife and I both have iPhone 12 Minis. It's our favorite iPhones we've ever owned. I have upgraded iPhones every year since the original. If they don't release a new mini this year, I may skip an upgrade year before being "forced" (I value features over size, but prefer the smaller size) to upgrade back to a bigger phone.

I ashamed to state I've done the full Goldilocks routine with the 12 series. Started out with the 12 Pro, but felt it was a bit too big. Went to the Mini and the size was perfect. I was all set to keep it except for three issues. First, I was making too many typing errors, particularly with non-auto correct things like passwords and surnames (people with more nimble fingers and/or better eyesight would do better....) Second, battery life was significantly worse than the 12 Pro. Third (and this also may be unique to me) I noticed degraded wifi speeds with the Mini vs. the Pro. I typically get 500 Mbps at the router and was getting around 425-450 Mbps with the Pro sitting in my favorite living room chair. With the Mini I was getting 350-375 Mbps. I ended up selling the Mini and went back to the Pro and am getting the higher speeds again and feel it's a better fit for me. Maybe the Mini has a smaller wifi antenna which results in slower speeds? No idea.... Half way between the Mini and Pro would probably be a perfect size for me. I'm sure Apple is listening!

I speak for myself and the two more I bought as gifts for kids who had been holding out since the SE for an upgrade (their choice).

I have one.

I love it but:
It's slightly to big still.
The battery life is ****. One hour call and i can be looking at 60% left. I fear how this will look two years from now.
The price is to high. Whatever is in there to warrant the price people that want a small phone probably don't need the expensive hardware.

Screen quality is brilliant, the phone looks super nice, i enjoy the cameras (actually desiring the telephoto to but a Pro is not happening)

I feel like once this becomes the SE in 3-4 years from now and sells for 450€ it's going to sell BIG.

Yes, trading the ultra wide for a zoom would make the mini near perfect for me.

Hang on a minute, i thought the 12 and 12 mini have 2 X Optical Zoom, with the Pro models having X 4 Optical zoom. Am i missing something here ???
