I had a Samsuck Craptivate on AT&T, since it was the only decent phone on AT&T at the time (spec wise, turned out to be a POS). I ended up switching to iPhone because I'm on the AT&T family plan, and they are the dominant carrier around here, and I'm very happy with it. There are some things I miss, but it also does some things a lot better. The Craptivate was poorly built, they never released official software updates, and it's RF performance was bad.

EDIT: I didn't consider an iOS device before iOS 5. Apple gradually fixed everything that was wrong with the iPhone, piece by piece, starting with copy and paste, MMS, the battery life, multitasking, and finally adding a notification system. Without all those pieces, I would have gotten Atrix 2, just for having Moto hardware.

I have a huawei phone. It's fine for my needs. The only thing that bugs me is that the voice memos I record on evernote with my android phone won't play on my iPad.

I have a Galaxy Tab 8.9 to satisfy my Android craving. I'm not sure I'd have two phones with two plans. I am seriously considering the Galaxy Nexus unlocked to use for a couple of months instead of the iPhone, but then I have the iPad for my iOS fix... :D

I shall never understand people using multiple smartphones.
That really goes against the trends in tech.

1 for personal and 1 for work. I don't like mixing my personal stuff with work even though I am temped to drop my personal iPhone (just got a 4s for work, 4 for personal) and most people fell the same way. It's not uncommon for this either.

I had iP 3, and have a 4(nonS). I'm in 'upgrade' period, and have been test driving a Sammy Galaxy SII Skyrocket. That is a 'true' 4G phone (LTE) unlike available HSPA signal available for the 4S. In SF I have been getting 20/7Mbs with 40ms pings. In my suburban area, I get an HSPA signal and about 6/1. I assume the 4S will get about the same.

I really like the phone, and don't have any problems getting through the day on the battery. The Gingerbread OS is fine, but I find the apps sometimes clunky. I REALLY hate giving unknown app developers all the permissions that I have to give for simple apps like a flashlight. (I don't know, maybe iTunes apps give the devlopers the same access, but if they do, they have at least been through some vetting process.)

I think the Android marketplace is VERY dangerous. When my testdrive is finished, there is a about a 99% chance there will be a 4S in my pocket.

I use a HTC Titan from work, iPhone 4S as a super amped up iPod touch with real battery life.

Not android, rather Windows Phone 7 :D

I have a Nexus One that I use to play around with Android. I was going to buy a Galaxy Nexus but I changed my mind after looking at my financial situation and deciding it was too expensive for me at the moment.

You have never heard of a business line? That goes with the trends in business since mobile phones have been around.

Quite true, and we're at 103% mobile penetration, so clearly some people have two. My dad did when he had a company phone, heck my mom runs her own business, and she has two phones, one for her business, one for personal.

Yes.

I have a 2010 smartphone for iOS, Android, and WP.

My daily driver is a Windows Phone. My Android gets the least play next to an old iPhone 2G, but Android can be great if you want to save money on apps and when Flash is needed. My iPhone 4 has become an iPod touch, but I still use it alot because it has the best Wi-Fi range out of them all and has 32 GB which has alot of my media. And for some reason my iP4 is the only phone that can constantly connect to a Wi-Fi signal which becomes weak inside my room. In case one phone has low batt or gets stolen, there is always another phone for me to use.

^^ My iPhone 4S WiFi signal is consistently the strongest vs my depreciated moto atrix and business htc titan, likely due to the external antenna actually working as apple intended, lol.

Though, there are times where the YouTube client on the iPhone bugs out with a good signal for no reason.

I'd love to know why you feel this way. I'm honestly asking, because in the month or so that I've been using the GSII, I just don't see the "dangerous" part of the Market that iPhone owners talk about. And I'm not talking about the articles on the 400% jump in viruses/spyware in the Market that came out a couple of months ago...I'm talking about a personal experience, if you have one.

Like anything else, it's always wise to investigate apps before installing them. Sure, this isn't something you necessarily have to do in the App Store, but I tend to read reviews or do a Google search before installing apps that are new to me or that I'm unfamiliar with. Forums are a great place to get real feedback from real users and you know what you're getting before you download it.

Again, I'm not trying to be a smartass...I sincerely want to know why you think the Market is a "VERY dangerous" place?

I switched from using an iPhone since it was first released up to the 3gs. Recently I purchased a Samsung galaxy note and have been extremely pleased with the phone and Android. Doubt I'll get another iPhone again unless Apple introduces a 5" iPhone and even then I'm not sure I'd switch back because ICS will be running on my Note soon and I love the unrestricted environment Android provides.
