I'll wait to see what is actually offered before I decide to upgrade from my iP4

Same. I've seen what part of iOS5 has to offer. Don't care for it. Now waiting to see what type of hardware will be released. Anything less then a 4" screen and I'll probably hold out until next year to upgrade.

I might, but it is upto Apple.

I would for these upgrades:

- color notification light on the front
- slightly larger screen
- better battery life
- A5 dual core processor
- better camera
- improved antenna design

And these would be icing on the cake.

- wireless charging
- FaceTime over 3G
- more customization (widgets, sounds, better lock screen options)

If not then I'll wait.

Wireless charging? Do other electronics do this already? This might blow my mind.

Now we're talking, is that even possible though?

Haha. That's what I was just wondering..

Count me in...I qualify for renewal in a month or two, and my 3GS is starting to age. I want to upgrade for the speed and battery life alone. Additional storage would also be nice but who knows if they'll bump things up to 64GB.

why is the only yes option have to be b.c of an upgrade? what about the yes im just gonna buy it out and sell my iphone 4?

Bigger battery? The iPhone is already the best smartphone when it comes to this department. I doubt they can make it much better.

Impossible to say at this stage, but if it's only a minor bump, I'll keep hold of my iPhone 4 until the one after this.
I always buy my phones outright and sim-free so I'm not locked into a contract and can upgrade when I want to, so at least I have the flexibility to decide when the time comes ;)

I keep saying I won't but I've gotten every iPhone made. Normally give old one to family members. This time may be different. My logic is that the iPhone is with me constantly and I use it all the time. Why not have the best with that amount of usage.

What's an iPhone 4S? I only know about the iPhone 5, and i'll definitely be upgrading.

My iPhone 3G on iOS 4.2.1 is driving me nuts with its sluggishness, so I'm gonna have to upgrade :D

I have the same issue. I downgraded to iOS 3.1.3, and i'm on my last leg. Can't wait for the iPhone 5.

I may get an iphone 5 but at the current rate I doubt it. I want something that has a larger screen, great battery life, and a semi decent camara. For now it looks like my next phone will be a galaxy s 2

Every time I hop on over to ebay or craig's list to look at used iPhone 4's, I get a dose of reality that spending $500 on a one year old phone is just ludicrous. My 3GS is chugging along nicely and will last until September. Perhaps by then ATT will cut me some slack on my upgrade pricing.

I'll be upgrading to the 4S/5 from a Droid X. I've wanted an iPhone since the original so I figure I will at least give it a try...if I don't like it then I'll just go back to Android once the contract ends.

Nope, just got an i4.

Regarding wireless charging.. if you think that blows your mind you might want to read up on Nikola Tesla. Early 20th century scientist who figured out how to use electricity without any wires. Including telephone frequencies, etc, using Earth as a conductor. I've always believed it's set for the future, shame no one invests on this. With limited funding he got electricity from point A to B with 15km difference. As to date, the MIT in USA has only recreated this up to 20 meters.

My 3GS and AT&T have got to go. Been off contract since February waiting on the next iPhone. They better release the white one at the same time as the black one this year!!!

This.

Somewhat ridiculous question considering we don't know what it will include. If it includes the same body and retina screen but double RAM, double memory, and LTE, I'll pony up. If it's only minor upgrades I'm sure it won't encourage many people to switch from the 4.
