Just rename your thread the next iPhone..

As for me, gotta see what it looks like. Maybe a preview soon? Anything?

As much as I would like to say I will just wait and see, in reality I know deep down that it doesn't matter what it is I will end up with it.

Especially if it is white... Stupid white one just coming out made me so mad haha

Well. I am using an iPhone 3G, it is incredibly slow and frustrating at times. The lack of new features bug me to hell.
But the PSVita seems to catch my eyes and may get the phone at a later date maybe? :D :apple:

Bigger battery? The iPhone is already the best smartphone when it comes to this department. I doubt they can make it much better.

I didn't say that it doesn't have the best battery of any smart phone, just that I would like a longer lasting charge.

Wireless charging? Do other electronics do this already? This might blow my mind.

It is called Inductive charging. I don't know if any phone currently has it, but there are after market options. It is also refereed to as Power Mat Wireless Charging. As I stated that would be the icing on the preverbal cake, because I think we are still a few years away.

Inductive charging still requires a peripheral, just that you don't need to plug in anything directly into the device.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_3 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8J2 Safari/6533.18.5)

Well I came on with the 3GS so I am apparently on the "s" cycle of iPhones.

I came on the 3GS also, but then I used my younger sisters upgrade and got the iPhone 4, and now I'll be using my dad's upgrade to get the iPhone 4/4S/5 alongside my older sister because she still has the iPhone 3G.

The Palm Pre and the Palm Pixi came inductive charging ready to go, complete with a touchstone dock to charge on. The Droid Charge, LG Revolution, and HTC Thunderbolt have special backplates you can buy that will allow you to use inductive charging on a compatible QI charging pad. To be quite honest, as someone who has used wireless charging in the past, it really isn't all that great. My biggest gripe with it is the charging rate. Inductive charging takes a lot longer than charging with a normal power adapter. Not to mention the fact that you have to have a charging pad in order to use it (charging pads are much more costly than a power adapter). Wireless charging is great if you have multiple devices that you can use it because then you can just drop your devices on the charging pad and all of them will charge, but if you only have one wireless charging capable device then it really is rather pointless.

You should add 'No, because I'm not eligible for an update' or 'No, because I'm happy with my current iPhone" ;) I would fall in this last category.. well, in both!

I don't think there will be major changes design wise. If this is the case, I probably will not upgrade. If it turns out to be some brand new design with features I can't live without I will upgrade.

I didn't realize that many were capable.

Time, doesn't bother me, I plug mine in when I go to bed, so it gets a good 8hrs.

Cost, might matter to some, but not to me. Plus we have 2 iPhones that would use it on a regular basis.

I don't expect to get this feature anytime soon if ever at all, but it would push me over the edge, not that any of really need that big of a push.

PS Vita seems to be the only Day 1 gadget purchase for 2011 and $250 is a bargain for its specs.

No phone has really caught my eye this year. After awhile, the luster wears off and we do get tired of whatever OS or phone we are using. Not really into having the best hardware either or jumping onto another OS and then re-buying apps I already had from iOS.

I think I can use the iPhone 4 for years and years until it breaks. I think iOS5 is a great upgrade, but nothing I haven't seen anywhere else. I don't like to deal with that iCloud fee per year. I think I am moving my stuff onto Google's Music Beta and I'm still waiting for my Invite. And I will get a quad-core Android phone next year similar to the Xperia Play because of the games and real controls that I can't find anywhere else from the other slate phones. Because the only real knock for iPhones for me is it can never cater to old school/hardcore gamers because it lacks the controls. Everything else from iPhones is as good as it gets. No rush on the next update. Back in 2010, I was already thinking of getting iPhone 4 to use for a minimum of 2-3 years.

I just got an iPhone 4 for Verizon, and I love it. I'm not upgrading again until it's 4G, which will most likely be next June. The iPhone 4S to me does not sound very attractive, its basically the same thing (based on current knowledge) and a few spec bumps wouldn't even give me buyer's remorse. Just wanted to see everyone's opinion.

*I want to add a "Yes, because I want to" option, but I have no idea how to do this, sorry!

4G or LTE because the next iPhone should support HSPA+ which is "4G"

And yes I'm selling my iPhone 4 and getting the new one I always make more off my previous phone than the new one cost.

LTE and HSPA+ are both considered 4G, but they are not equal. HSPA+ would probably be easier to accomodate at this point.

Yes. I am on a 3Gs since launch. I should be out of contract w/ AT&T any day now.

Once the iPhone 4S (or whatever) comes out in September, I'll have a new phone, and a new wirless carrier! I'm switching to Verizon.

The ability to make phone calls outweighs simultaneous voice/data for me.

I know both are 4G but the TS said he wasn't going to get the next iPhone until it has 4G. If the next iPhone has HSPA+ will he get it or was he talking about LTE.

Bought a iPhone 4 off of Craigslist awhile back just so that I could keep an upgrade for the iPhone 5.

Hopefully it has some of the following wanted features:
- color notification light on the front
- slightly bigger screen
- even bigger battery
- A5 dual core processor
- 8mp camera
- improved antenna design

Do want :D

If these were the only improvements I would still buy the iPhone 5 in a heart beat! I'm extremely excited now!! I've been keeping at least $150 in the bank since Christmas and I have no idea how much longer I can keep it in there!
