I hope you guys realize that the Curve 8900 is different from the 83xx series. But hey, I will keep the iPhone around in case I ever want to switch back. I do not have a problem with Synching because all my data is kept up in the "cloud" with Google Sync...used with both BB and iPhone :).

Yes, I know the differences between 8900 and 83xx series and there is no 3G, web browser still sucks and no real backup of you data if you don't have a PC.
Also there is no way you will be able to update your OS on Blackberry without Windows :p

Not big on the keyboards, imo. The keys are too small (iPhone, though electornic, has bigger keys in portrait alone). Plus, the size of them makes the screen smaller.

I'm keeping my iPhone 3G. My daughter and son-in-law both have iPhones because of mine. I don't use it as a phone very much, though it is nice that I can do so when I need to. It doesn't work perfectly, (as in; there is no 3G service in my area, battery life is only about 50% of what is truly needed for my use, and maybe it is just too good of a device for the world just yet!) but it is the best phone I have ever had. Period. For what I use it for the iPhone is an almost indescribable experience. Having said that, If AT&T doesn't get with the 3G program, I may give it up when the contract is over. I don't see a BB in my future. If it can't do all the things the iPhone can do, only better with more battery capacity and seamless integration with my iMac, I don't want it. It would not be worth the hassle.

I use my iphone as a secondary phone. I use it for everything but the phone. Not that i dont like it i dont need the phone part. I use a lg voyager on verizon as my primary phone. I deffinetly could see myself using the iphone as a primary phone but it would cost me alot more money cause everybody i know has verizon.:apple::apple:

I honestly think the keyboard on the iphone is the best keyboard. It does take getting used to for accuracy, and speed but now I fly on it.

Had an iPhone for maybe a month or two at most. Gave it away.

Have Bold right now, I love it. I preorder a N97 which should be released soon.

I can appreciate how some of you feel with AT&T's service, I was in New York this past week and I had never experienced such lagging and lousy reception on my iPhone 3G. Yes, you have better prices, with AT&T, but Rogers in Canada has superior service, very reliable, and I have never dropped a call in the Ottawa-Montreal area. Heck, I have 3G the minute I cross the border into Canada.

By the way, for Canadians traveling to the US, do not turn off 3G or Data Roaming during your trip if you plan on using a data plan. I had 3G for a full day in the US and when I turned it off I lost it for good. I had EDGE for 5 days! Rogers does not have a 3G Roaming contract with AT&T, EDGE only. So 3G service is hit and miss!

In response to the OP's question, to fully appreciate the iPhone, speed is a key factor, and if I'm not in wifi range or on 3G, it's just another phone, with a very slow browser, slow maps, etc..

I love my iPhone, but without 3G, not that great.

i sold my iphone, and i had mine for a long time until i got fed up missing all the features so i went to a windows mobile, then blackberry, then android, let me just say im going back to my iphone when the new comes out but i do regret selling my blackberry bold do to my mom family switching to tmobile except to find out they were not going to...

I sold my iPhone 3G about a month ago as I couldn't justify keeping it what with student loans that need to be paid and what not...I sure do miss it...

I'll probably get a cheap $30 Alltel plan or something later on this summer.

iPhone forever. I can have all my music in the gym or switch to a call when it comes in, pay a bill on the go if i forgot, have my contacts and calender events sync wirelessly with mobileme, type faster than any blackberry user with the intelligent keyboard, and have better 3rd party apps than any other PDA device out there.

I just cut the cord

I LOVE my iPhone and all it has to offer. I am sure the new iPhone will be even better! I am a huge iPhone fan and have had one/them since day one.

HOWEVER, I am sick and tired of getting a$$ raped by AT&T. Seriously, you would think with the premium we pay, dropped calls and/or no signal's would be non existent. Who the hell charges $30 for data and then has the balls to charge you for txt?!! Not to mention their voice plans.

Now, I know there are issues on both sides and Sprint may, or may not be great in you area. Here in AZ, AT&T just plain sucks. 3rd largest city in the nation and they cant get with it. Sprint is far superior for us in the desert. Their plans and blind eye to discount code put them on top. ($80+tx for everything unlimited after business discount)

I will be back... when/if another carrier becomes an option.

Enjoy you iPhones! I will be jealous until the day I return.

I just hope the Palm Pre is about 70% as good as the iPhone.

I've become fairly dependent on mobile wireless access to email, web, etc.
But, since the iPhone was first released, I had been very disappointed to find that there was zero - and I mean ZERO - AT&T signal inside the building where I work. Even near a window it was hard to get a signal. Step outside and it was full 5 bars. However, the deal my place of employment has with Verizon meant there's a a bunch of microcells throughout the building, providing virtually full Verizon CDMA signal strength nearly everywhere inside.

I dealt with no iPhone voice or data access inside the building at work for about 1.5 years (from 1st gen iPhone to the iPhone 3G).

Eventually, I decided I needed mobile net access & calls more than my iPhone. So I kept trying different Verizon devices, switching several times between Win Mobile (Omnia, HTC Touch Pro) and Blackberry (Curve, Storm)... I had finally settled on a device to keep and was about to discontinue my AT&T iPhone account. This was around December, 2008.

Then, right about 2 weeks before New Year's, one of my colleagues notices that his iPhone is now getting a full, usable signal inside the building. Everywhere... 5 bars. Like magic. Christmas miracle... even for this atheist. Holy S@%#!! Sure enough, he's right. Not sure what happened - AT&T must have put a new tower up or something, but needless to say I cancelled my Verizon account (took the ETF hit) and I've been happily using my iPhone since.

That was a close call (no pun intended).
