My Contract Expires Late Next Month

and I will be switching from Samsung Galaxy S2 to the new iPhone 5S and I will be purchasing my first iPad when the new one is released. I'm having trouble trying to decide on iPad Mini or the full size one. These two purchases will complete my circle being I bought a rMBP last September. :)

iPhone 5S - Dual Flash, Better low light cam, some more cool upgrades and I am sold :)
iPad Mini - Retina Display and i am good to go !

At this stage I'll have to go with "maybe". I got the 4S back in 2011 so you could say that I'm "due" for an upgrade, but I'll wait and see what the actual specs are before committing to anything.

I also need to take the cost of a 30-pin adapter into account since I use the TV-out cable a lot.

Due for an upgrade in a few months. May as well upgrade if I'm not getting any discounts off my monthly plan. If a fingerprint scanner comes along I'm definitely getting it.

Wait... What?!

I'm on a contract with Telus right now using the 3gs I got a couple of years ago. I was planning to upgrade to a 5 or 5s this fall. What's this about $100/month??

Have you not seen the new share plus plans? Smartphone at $55 + your choice of data. So 1GB is $30 although they have a 1+1GB until September 30th. You can't keep your old plans, just found this out so for myself and my fiancee it would be $55+$55+$30 = $140 + tax a month which is about $158 so $11 more a month then I'm paying now.

Although if they didn't have there 1+1GB promotion it would be $55+$55+$45 = $155 or $175.50 a month which is $33.12 a month extra. Bell and Rogers are now the same as well, if you wanted 1GB of data it would be $55+$30 = $85 + tax a month. Pretty much sucks, don't see a point in paying $199+ tax for a phone when I have to shell out so much a month now. If the 5C is $0 on 2 year contract here in Canada then I will for sure be upgrading to a 5C as long as they still have there promotions. Here, take a look at there website: Telus SharePlus Plans

Yup I will be upgrading my AT&T 4S to a new 5S, but then again since I don't use that line much I may just get a T-mobile one. I'll have to see how good it is to even warrant a new one, I already have two phones.

Yeah, after I posting that I did some research and learned how the new plans work. It's ridiculous. They don't charge more for the phone or the service, but they totally ******* up the a** for data!

Also, if my understanding is correct, the 4s is the $0 phone now. No way the 5c will be.

I said that about the 5C before the conference considering i thought they would discontinue the 4s mainly for the 30-pin dock. Oh well, 5c in blue for $99 here I come lol.
