How many people are on your ignore list?

OK, now I feel like a freak.

I have about 25 -- Members who have started so many dipstik threads or been so persistently annoying that I have no wish to waste my time any further on whatever they might say. And particularly, members I try to help, and they argue, or take none of the freely offered and considered advice, and simply continue ranting.

I'd rather spend 20 minutes researching an answer for one person than waste 5 minutes on the posts of ingrates and HUA posters.

As a note...

When I was in school we had a homebrew IM program, (this was before MSM and AIM) Quite often on the broadcast messages you would see

"Plonk"

When people inevitably asked what that was, the answer was "Thats the sound of a name hitting the bottom of a killfile."

I don't have anyone. Mainly because, in a rubbernecking car crash style, I want to see what people have said.

However, I would like a kind of flagging system that reminded me of past experiences. There's people that have come out with such moronic statements , or who I've helped and they haven't bothered to say thanks, or who are just plain rude, and I'd like a way of remembering who they were so I don't inadvertently help them again. A black mark I could put against their name would be helpful.

For reference, this is what it looks like when a user is on ignore. Clicking on View Post in the left opens up another window with the single post.



Just a demo of course, devilot is one of the last people who would actually be on it. (if I had anyone on ignore at least)

Interestingly enough, quotes by the user aren't blocked, I would imagine vBulleting would have some sort of a script for it.

Puts pretty little pluses next to people's names. The buddy list in quick links is a handy way to see who's around to play at any given time and most promisingly, future versions of vB will enable you to receive PMs from buddies only... Nice.

Of course it could be IE6, the person's computer I'm updating is still using it.
