Depending on whether or not you count iChat AV as "meeting", I've met about a dozen, mostly in person. So I've got about 92,100 members left to meet.

How do you know you met lurkers?
I met a lurker. She recognised me and said hello. Hello.
I only know one person (an Apple Store employee) who's on MR, but I don't even know his screen name here. I'm sure I know more people here, but it's hard to say when almost no one uses their real name...

Au Contraire my friend! I'm in Minnetonka, and I know there are at least a healthy dozen or so on here from the Twin Cities...
One. It was very nice, it made it very easy to start talking, after reading each other's posts for so long, and being part of the same online community. It was like we had lots of friends in common.

I figured there would be more people in the Twin Cities, but since I live two hours away from there, I haven't had a chance to meet any of them.

Because they've told me they are lurkers. Example - the guy who introduced me to MR showed me the Buyer's Guide, and when I asked about the forums, he said he read sometimes and doesn't really participate.

There are a few in the office who lurk occasionally around Keynote times although they haven't admitted to knowing who I am
When I wander through places like the Cockpit studios, there are a lot of the artists and designers with their Macs showing slideshows of their portfolios and I always wonder whether any of them are MR regulars or lurkers

Oh yeah, I met a "lurker" in the office too... I wonder if he's registered yet?
I'm not sure if I met anyone from MR....maybe I have maybe not. I've met a lot of crab hand people so maybe one of them from MR.

Me too a couple of months or so ago. Lovely guy who resisted my attempts to get him drunk although he was flying the next day.
