The only person I have "met" from this forum is 6914708, and that was a brief exchange of money and speakers bought through the Marketplace. I know there are a lot of Chicago folks, we should have a picnic as well!

But in the spring, when the ice has melted.

PlaceofDis and I tried to get a Chicago gathering together a few years ago, but it fizzled. I'd be up for trying it again though! :)

I think it'd be a great idea, though it might be best if we waited until the weather warms up a little. Maybe someone should start a separate thread...

Oh yeah! Completely forgot. Me too a couple of months or so ago. Lovely guy who resisted my attempts to get him drunk although he was flying the next day.

That man's got will-power! One of the few things I can remember about the First Macrumors London Picnic was Blue Velvet's generous measures of rum :)

I've met about 25-30 MR members to varying degrees. Some of them on two non-consecutive occasions. </clinton>

I figured there would be more people in the Twin Cities, but since I live two hours away from there, I haven't had a chance to meet any of them.

I live about an hour north of Minneapolis, and I also have yet to meet a Macrumors member in person. I think you, Veritas&Equitas, 840Quadra, and all the other Minnesota Macrumors members (myself included) should try to make it to the Mall of America store when Leopard is launched.

Aside from the hubby (nbs2), who apparently doesn't count for this thread (but always counts in my book), I've only met ChipNoVaMac. He was very helpful answering a bunch of questions about the camera we bought. Whenever we make it down to Tysons, we'll usually stop in at the store where he works and say hi to him.

Met quite a few of the Brits, a couple of Kiwis and an American now living in London and one Norwegian :)

Due to alcohol induced memory loss, I probably met more than I can actually remember at the London picnic last year, but everyone I do remember was lovely :)

1 :D

who sold me my Blackbook.. and never since heard from again

although, if there are any fellow east midlanders (nottingham, leicester etc..) who fancy a night out, then you're more than welcome to drop me a PM and we could organise something?

OK, a Chicago meet's been started, on top of the already-established London one.

So who wants to start a NYC gathering? :D

You! Let me know when and where the gathering is and I'll be there!

I've never met anyone from here.
