A silly amount of times, I've had people trip over the cord, dog catch on it, I've trodden on it whilst moving from desk to bed, it's such a life saver.

And the magnetic attraction makes it easy for those of us with poor vision to plug the thing in

No it's just valuing my electronics. I paid £900 for my MacBook so I'm not going to trail a powercord where people are going to step on it, it's common sense.

Before I had a Mac laptop with a magsafe connector, I never needed it. Not once.

Since my first Mac laptop with magsafe, it has saved my laptop many many times. Go figure.

It's because since you have it you do not pay as much attention as you would if you didn't have it, like i find myself not paying that much attention to wires coming from my charger because if I pull it worst thing that can happen is I fall and my charger unplugs itself.

Never, cable runs down the back of the desk & I just use the battery everywhere else.

Many times.

I like to leave my laptop on the coffee table in our living room. The cord then goes down where your feet go when sitting on the couch. Many times MagSafe has saved my computers life

It's always others that trip on it. I am so glad it is there. Otherwise my lappy would've been killed alone time ago. :p

Agreed. While many of the cords have problems with fraying or relief strain, I'll admit that MagSafe is probably one of the best ideas Apple has come up with for their computers.

MagSafe took a bullet for me during the war. I had to carry him three miles on a shot up leg. We made it to the DZ, but I lost my leg and MagSafe… MagSafe didn't make it.

It's hard to get up, sometimes. But I do it anyways. I do it for MagSafe. I have to live my life, for both of us.

I love you in ways you cant even imagine :D

per day ?
average 2-3 times when at work

once per week when at home

now if they could only make magsafe ethernet cables.......

It saved me 6 times today! I had to do a lot of stuff and it saved me a lot! Phew!

Oh, and the person above me... One word:

Wifi

or just break off the locking attachment.

magsafe has saved my life about 300 times in the past 6 months with my MacBook.

Hey all,

Today I was going to go say bye to my mom because she was leaving. I got up from my chair and tried stepping over the cord, but no, my size 13 feet wouldn't let that happen, so my foot snagged the cord, i yelled "NOOO!" then noticed my magsafe had pulled out of the port, and was laying on the ground, my MacBook unharmed. I was so relieved, so now I want to hear your stories.

Thank you :apple:
Haha thats a great story. Reminds me of mine. Idk why but my german shepherd LOVES laser light pointers. He goes crazy over them, chasing them. Well my gf was playing with him, and she was running the red light all over the living room. My laptop was on our table with the magsafe plugged in. Well she didnt mean to but she crossed over between the couch and the table my laptop was sitting on. Well my dog ran through, last second thought was my laptop is history. Then Bink - the magsafe poped out and saved my laptop from certain death. :)

How did you get past the demilitarized zone without the North Koreans shooting at you?!

Never, it has however set fire to my bed, which the b@$t@rd at Apple said wasn't their problem, !@£$%^&* it is there problem lol (I should of sued :( )

I would like to see a MagSafe Headphone jack though, that would save my headphones a lot lol

No kidding. I get my headphone cables caught on all kinds of stuff and get them yanked out of my iPod. I have killed a few pair of headphones, which is why I don't by those expensive models. I tend to kill them too quickly.

Because a lot of storage servers have wifi capable of handling multi gb files in reasonable time...

I have broken of the doodad of the cable, but still a couple close calls.

As I was walking away from my MacBook to open the door for my mother, I tripped over the power cord. As I hit the floor, I couldn't stop freaking out about my MacBook and wondering if it got hurt! I guess I care more about my computer than myself :p

Thank god for the magsafe powercord!
