4 times in two years. Just last night was the worst. So far I haven't dropped it that produced a scratch (thank you cases!) but last night I knocked it off my nightstand while it was in the cradle and it got a little scratch on the back. Not too bad.

I almost lost it in a puddle on a curb, but thankfully it landed right on the curb and not in the drink an inch away.

that is how many times a stupid thread like this has been made. no one cares that you dropped your phone. sorry for you, but no one cares. go to the other gajillion threads and get sympathy there.

Stop speaking for everyone, I care.......

Hope your iPhone is OK mate......don't listen to this arrogant chimp !!!!

I dropped my first generation iPhone once when I was drunk at a party. I was sitting down...it landed on a smooth concrete floor. Luckily no damage was done due to the 1st gen's resilience.

I have never dropped my iPhone 3G, but I did have it in a locker at Six Flags so I didn't lose it on the Superman ride. It rubbed up tightly against my girlfriend's black Gucci sunglasses (I have a white iPhone) and it actually dinged the plastic in two corners pretty badly. It was right after launch so I hadn't purchased a case yet. I was so sad that it got messed up.Luckily last week it locked up for an hour or two (which I exaggerated to two days) and got it switched out for a new one!!! SCRATCHES GONE!! :]

Now it's protected with a screen protector film and an INcase sleeve.

So does that make *you* even more stupid for reading the thread title, opening it, reading the post itself, and then taking the time to post a reply? By trying to comment on the low intelligence of others, you publicly knocked down your own IQ.

Lighten up. Maybe its time for you to venture out of your basement.

Who the hell is THIS guy?

Dropped my first one a few times, but had a case (Arctic Rebel) on it.
Dropped the exchange for the first time last night around 5 in the morning. I woke up, grabbed the phone off of my nightstand to see what time it was, and it dropped right in-between my bed and the wall.. Onto the hard uncarpeted floor (I live in a dorm). I have to get up, crawl under my bed, and grab my phone. It was a little dirty, but no noticeable scratch or dent or anything. Lucked out.
I do have, however, a small crack in the glass. But that was there before the drop. It's a mystery crack. No idea how it happened. Oh well.

I've dropped my first gen iPhone many many times. It's kind of sad as it can take away from the beauty of the phone (I try not to look at it too closely now so I don't see all the dings). It may have been an expensive phone, but I still see it as any other portible device, I understand that I'm probably going to drop it again and again (drunk texting can be evil) I have come to accept that fact.
I do have a slider case for it, I don't mind the look of it since it doesn't add that much bulk, but I have to take it off to place it in the nifty car dock I installed to play music through the cars speakers, so it tends to not be on at all.

Do I wish my iPhone was blemish free, sure, but I'm not loosing any sleep over it.

I dropped my 2G well over 100 times. It was already messed up with various dents, scratches etc when i bought it so I didn't really try and look after it.

I haven't dropped my 3G once yet, it might of dropped of my bed onto the carpet or something but that doesn't really count:p

I might have to take some pics of my old iPhone and put them up on here, I would like to see if anyone has seen a fully working iPhone is worse condition then my old one lol :cool:
