Actually I just performed a test. 12 hours straight of pandora only amounts to about 120 MBs in data. If I left it on for say 30 days I'll be using only about 7GB. So I really don't know how people rack up data usage. Let me on the secret please =D.

They're downloading "movies." Pandora only downloads 10 MB/hour, which is not much.

I barely use the phone, do everything via mail, sms, Facebook, Twitter.

Give it a day or so, it'll be updated. There is no way you only used 120MBs

Edit: sorry, didn't realize that pandora was so low. I'm using the Sirius app w/ 3G unrestrictor (for better quality music). That could be why mine are so high

well, I won't be going there until someone confirms what it is.

Its just a site that hosts movies and TV shows in iPhone/iPad/iPod Touch format, nothing hacked or bad, just a site where you can view like every TV show and Movie, it's cool, surprised its been up as long as it has been now

EDIT: DP SORRY WEIRD ISSUE WHEN I JUST POSTED?!?!?!

iPhone 5gb cap

I'd say 90% of people that go over the 5gb/month limit are tethering their phone. If they are on AT&T then this is against their Terms of Service and should have their contract revoked. This is also a good reason why AT&T has network issues and the rest of us that obey the rules have to suffer from slower speeds.

When you go over the 5gb cap on the iPhone data plan, AT&T will not revoke our contract. I have done it so many times I cant even count.

Once you go over the 5gb, AT&T gains the right to audit or review your account and see what you are doing, but they will not revoke your contract.

If you are an Apple developer and make an app that allows your iphone to tether (there are many ways) or simply get the code to one of those apps that uses a proxy, following the agreement with apple, you are allowed to provision or (test) the app on however many UDID codes you can register.

AT&T is not stupid enough to to revoke a customers contract for going over their 5gb soft cap, they might review your account, but not revoke it.
