300-700 MB range. Although my usage has slightly gone up a bit ever since i got a S3. But not by much.

Before i had proper wifi, it hovered around 2-4 GB a month.

It's sad though that my lesser usage doesn't give me any choice for a cheaper plan because the 500MB/1GB plans are also about the same price as the promotional 6GB plan i got. Wireless carriers are a joke in Canada.

My allowances renew on the 8th of each month. Since the 8th of August I've used 37mb

How do you update the apps from the computer?

nw9 answered you already but...open iTunes, select "Apps" on the left hand side of the screen. It will display all the apps you have downloaded. At the bottom right side of the screen it'll say "Check for Updates". Just click the arrow next to it and anything new will show up on screen. Download them and sync using a usb/dock connector cable. You can also open iTunes, go to the App Store and check for updates there as well.

They're a joke here in the US too. AT&T has a share everything plan which gives 1GB data, allows tethering, FaceTime over cell network and unlimited voice and texts. It costs $85 before taxes. Then there's a 5GB tethering plan with no texts included (either pay $0.20 each or $20 per moth for unlimited) and if paired with the 450 minutes per month voice plan comes out to $90 before tax.

It doesn't make sense to me. I really don't see how they figure FaceTime (I believe it's about 3-4MB per minute) and text messages strain the network any more than if I went with the 5GB plan and streamed HD movies until my limit. Your using data no matter what method you choose so why not include all features in the 5GB plan if the charge is only $5 more? It's borderline criminal.

Lots of great replies seems like most stay under 2GB which is something I was not expecting.

But hey glad to hear that a large amount of smartphone users deal just fine with under 2GB which is what I will have.

I have only gone over my 500mb data allowance twice during the time I've had it (since launch).

Usually don't go past about 300mbs since I am on wifi at home and at university I'm on wifi.

I have unlimited data on my iPhone but I usually use around 500MB of that every month since most of my browsing is done via WiFi at the moment and when I'm out and about all I do is a bit of casual tweeting.

If you're over 10GB...whoa.

I have unlimited.
I can't be bothered worrying about how much time I spend downloading my hundred dollar apps. That seems like a drama.

Anyways with the iphone 5 (which I am getting) I know I will download more and I am wondering which share plan to get..
Again, just like your other thread, this is a subjective matter and a poll won't answer your question. Look at your usage. Each person's usage varies.

I have a use for the information and yes the poll did answer my question.

Cheers,

Nick
