Yep, would really make sense! Although guess it's a way of O2/AT&T making more money as you are likely to go over the SMS as it is so much more enjoyable to text from an iPHone and easier to send more than 1SMS at a time! maybe?

Exactly, all my friends always ask me why i send such long messages, i've always written in full (don't like txt talk at all) but the way its set out, you never think about them as SMS's.

On my old phone where i'd remove a connective as i'd gone over by one character, i don't think about it with iPhone. Good thing i've got an Unlimited text bolt-on
