hahaha did you give her your phone in exchange for her upgrade?

Nope she's still locked in for another year. I however do have an upgrade this year. So I decided I'd be nice... And it got me a steak dinner. :p

Good to know you are Ok with international buyers. Most ebay sellers don't want international sellers to bid.

Yeah but I do need my payment in before I send out the product.

Not to advertise but I'm a eBay newb and like the other poster is saying, I'm having a tough time selling mine. I think I sold it waaay to late. *sigh* Should've sold it a month ago.

I didn't even get any views on it... Maybe a month later is the way to go?

i checked your listing and i see it is verizon 4S. I am skeptical about any international user bidding. Since this is a CDMA phone, it would be difficult for the international buyer to make it work on the local CDMA network. Many a times even if it works, the data might not work. If it was GSM version or if the GSM part was unlocked for international use then you will get more hits.
Btw you still have 4 days left in auction so don't worry as you will get bids for sure.

Edit: Oh i see it is unlocked for international use, that is good.

Hope you get a good price. My hunt for 4S will start after next iPhone launch.

I think you should change the title of the listing to "unlocked" or something like that. If I was looking for an unlocked device, I would have never clicked on your listing. Your title is too generic.

Can I ask how you received your money using Amazon Marketplace? How as the process, easy?

Sure! If you're a new seller, it takes 30 days to get your money, after that, you can get deposits every 7 days I believe.

It's very simple, the most tedious part is the first time. Another thing is refunds.. You have to accept them, whereas eBay you don't (I think?)

Amazon can deposit right into your bank account, I like that better than using PayPal!

Have been checking ebay lately and in last one day or so i have noticed that people don't seem to be willing to give anything more than 380$ or so for a 16GB 4S.
Hope to see further reduction in price once the next iPhone launches.

I don't think that's true. I sold my 4S through Amazon Marketplace on Sunday the 2nd. I shipped it out on Tuesday the 4th. Thursday the 6th happened to be my deposit day (it's every 2 weeks), and on that day the deposit was made. (However, it will be a few days until that deposit appears in my bank account.)

Mine has been on sale on ebay for the past five days, I'm attempting to get at least $400 out of it, which means I need to sell it for $450 because ebay taxes you that 12%. Granted.. I'm shipping it to the winner for free, you would think they'd pay $400 for a 64gb iphone 4s.

I posted it the day Apple sent the invites, trying to offload it by the 12th. I dont think I'm demaning much, bid is currently at $311 with about three hours to go.. I'm hoping for at least a $450 bid if 16gb iphones are going for 400...

But then again folks are saying "jailbroken, unlocked", yadda yadda.

Is it a Verizon/Sprint iphone ? Ive noticed AT&T phones go for 50-75$ more than their verizon/sprint counterparts on ebay. Im guessing its because AT&T phones can be unlocked for use in the US.

I sold my white iPhone 4s 16Gb (AT&T), which is/was jailbroken on 5.1.1 and I added about 10 repositories for $400 buy it now, with an extra $20 for shipping. So $420 total.

I couldve fetched a few dollars more, but I just wanted it gone ASAP.

Im currently using a 3GS - which sucks lol

I may splurge for the largest iPhone model this time around.
I like to have movies on my iPhone for the kids when they are in the car.
Plus Im signing up for iTunes match when the new iPhone comes out :)

Just sold my iphone 4s 64gb for $415.

Even though I clearly stated "US Only" apparently the person who bid the highest lives in... you guessed it... China.

So he says:

"Hello I don't need you ship to China.I have a friend in usa and he will come back to china next month."

Should I add an extra fee to the invoice? Not that I don't trust the Chinese.. I dont want to hear "I never got the package"...

I would caution you against sending it to an address other than the Paypal confirmed address. If you do and it turns out to be a stolen credit card, you will be stuck paying the bill. So, you'll have NO iPhone and owe $415.

BE CAREFUL with International Selling. I thought I would sell my iPhone 4 this way to make more money on it. And in theory, you are more likely to have more people interested in it when more people would want an unlocked iPhone (hence, international).

However, the US has export laws banning the shipment of items with a lithium ion battery. My unlocked 16 GB iPhone 4 sold for $375 + $52 (express shipping). And they returned it to me stating I couldn't ship it out of the country.

I had to relist it for US only, and this time I only got $330. (partially because it is soooo much closer to the announcement for the new phone).

Hopefully, you have better luck than me. Also, I do not recommend lying on the customs forms. Luckily for me, the guy at the post office was nice and refunded me on the shipping (since my item never even left the country).

That was my fear. I dont know exactly what to do net. there's another bidder under this person who's more than reputable that I contacted, awaiting a response.

It's sketchy. Sell to next bidder. Better safe than sorry.

Needing advice on what price to list my & my wife's iPhone 4S's for:
- AT&T Factory Unlocked Black iPhone 4S 64GB
- AT&T Factory Unlocked White iPhone 4S 64GB

Both are complete in box with power brick, cable and (used) headphones, and both have AppleCare+ until Oct 11, 2013.

Both are in excellent condition with no obvious scratches or blemishes.

Any suggestions? Would you recommend eBay or Craigslist? If eBay, what type of auction is best? (length, reserve, buy-it-now, etc.)
Would appreciate advice from people who have sold something similar recently...

Thanks!! :D

apparently eBay is as dumb as a bag of rocks.

So I contact them.. give them vitals:

Buyer outbid others; My posting says ships to UNITED STATES; Bidder says to ship to a friend & he will receive.

So I called eBay because I needed varification. Apparently the address is varified under the users account and I can send the package, which is fine, however is there anything else I need to disclose?

I'm still slightly thrown off by this..
