Traded it in to AT&T for $200, applied it to my bill. Easy peasy. Phone had issues anyway, glad I got that amount for it.

you got ripped off then again if it had problems

Quite the opposite. I got a great deal for a phone that wasn't worth nearly that in the condition it was in. Best offer I had gotten before was $145.

I was glad that the rep just made sure it was wiped clean and got the info off of it. Didn't care about the condition.

Unlocked with some dents on the side, perfect screen. $230 on eBay - minus the buttload of fees

32 gig white AT&T iPhone 5 with iOS 8 in mint condition. Sold it on Craigslist with factory box, headphones, and a Ballistic Every1 case for $350

£150 - 2 years old 16GB silver - to a friend, Phone's battery had kinda gone so I was happy to get £150 for it, the friend knew about the battery issue but didn't mind.

As of a few days ago Best Buy showed a $240 trade-in (gift card) for my white AT&T 64GB. Mother-in-law's 4 is starting to crap out so I told her I'd sell it to her for $200.
