$160 for my 1.5 year old iPhone 3G 8GB via eBay. Not jailbroken, but upgraded to iOS4. The buyer was quite happy with his purchase, and I was glad to sell it and buy a 3GS 32GB white iPhone for only $40 out of pocket to replace my old 3G.

3G last year $300, 3GS this year $300. Both in excellent condition with boxes and all accessories. Pretty happy about both.

I sold my 3gs on craigslist yesterday for 300$, it had iOS 4 and was not jailbroken or unlocked. I felt that I did pretty well.

I sold my almost 2 year old 3G 16gb, that was in very condition, with two cases, for $200 on Craigslist. I put it up right away on 6/24 for $250 OBO, but someone ended up stealing my photos (taken with my new i4), and then most likely, flagging my post for removal. I didn't notice until Friday evening that my post had been deleted. So, I re-posted it Saturday morning for $225 OBO and sold it right away for $200. I was happy to unload it quickly because there is a lot of competition in the Los Angeles area, and the $200 will cover the cost of a 16gb I4 for my wife.

Thanks!

Ummm, what is a proper jailbreak? I was going to use redsnow then ultrasnow.

I think he's referring to the fact that when you jailbreak a 3G with 4.0, you can choose to have multitasking installed and that will SLOW your 3G down. A "proper" jailbreak would be to jailbreak it without the addition of features that wouldn't normally be on the legit 4.0. So just jailbreak and don't add any non-3G features or it will bog down your phone.

Well, sold the other phone for not much better and I know why...

Ok, sold the other iP3GS, 16gb for $265. I could have gotten up to $325 (highest offer) if I hadn't upgraded to 4.0. Everytime I told them it had 4.0 on it they would tell me "uhh, no thanks.". Oh well, since I only paid $214 for it I guess I its ok. Just a bummer I couldn't get more.

I had 2 iphones for sale. The white 3GS 16gb went for $240 (was asking $250) about 20 minutes after dropping from $300 after 2 days. It had a scratch on it. The black 16gb 3GS was listed for $325 but after a couple days and no bites dropped it to $295. Have had about 8 bites but no buyer yet. Been offered $265. I'm holding out hoping I can at least get $275 since its in mint condition (only 2-3 months old). I sold a 16gb 3GS about 8 months ago for $585. Can't believe the value drop! I don't think the itouches lose value that fast! Lol

I sold my 3G Black 8GB with a crack on the back of the phone and a broken piece at the bottom of the phone for $150.00 to one of my employees. Only paid $62.96 out of pocket for my new iPhone 4 so I am happy about that!

Sold a White 16GB 3GS Like New condition for 350 on Craigs List

Couldve got 400+ if I didnt restore it and had left it jailbroken and unlocked :c(

Happy Birthday, iPhone.

It is 3-years old today.

Sold a hand me down 2G iPhone with key scratches/scrapes on the aluminum backing for $80 on Craigslist.

Practically got a 32% discount selling stuff I didn't use at all at the house. If I sell my old phone, I'll get another easy $100. Probably only spent $150 of my own savings for a $370 phone (taxes included). I never sold anything off the Internet before. But wanting this phone so badly has made me addicted into selling anything I don't use at the house. I have some video game consoles I will probably sell too.

But like my 5-year old PSP, this iPhone 4 is a keeper.

Just last month, I had a first gen PSP, white 5th gen iPod (30GB), a white DS Lite, silver/platinum Nokia N82, first gen iPod touch (8GB), first gen iPhone (8GB, and blue Canon SD1100. Only the PSP, iPod touch, and Canon is still around. I have sentimental reasons for keeping the PSP this long and it still can be a solid multimedia device when I need it to be. The Canon is a keeper because it is mandatory to have one dedicated P&S camera in the house. And I need some optical zoom over digital. The iPod touch needs to stay because it is a jailbroken off 1.1.4, and still need my ROMs, HidePod (store some personal pix and vids ;)), and my hacked Intelliscreen. It is a backup internet device to the iPhone 4. My DS Lite will eventually came back in the form of a Nintendo 3DS and my first gen iPhone (8GB)/5th gen iPod (30GB) already came back in the form of the iPhone 4. If I sell my Nokia N82 this week, I'm looking into buying an unlocked Android phone. But the Android looks ugly compared to WebOS so far, but I love how Google provides some great services for free. Been an Android supporter since the G1. The Nokia N8 just isn't for me with that laggy UI, but the build quality, photo capability, and promised battery life looks fantastic even for just a "secondary." No SE Xperias or Palm Pres for me. I might like the Altek Leo (14MP, Android 2.1, Xenon flash). I like to have a backup phone with a TMobile $100 prepaid SIM in there and then use it when I travel. But my main phone for the next two years is the iPhone 4. I don't see a better all-around device in the cell phone market except another iPhone next year.

I sold my spouse' 3g white 16gb (with box, manuals, etc) on ebay, for $225.00 about 2-3 weeks ago.

I'm putting a 3gs white 16gb on today, as well as an extra iPhone 4 16gb black.

Sold my 8gb 3G that had just been replaced under AppleCare, with otterbox case and AppleCare until 2/2011 on launch day for the iPhone 4 for $250. It wasn't unlocked or jailbroke.

Quick question about selling my iPhone.

To wipe the iPhone and get rid of all my info on it, do I just need to press "Erase all content and settings" ?.

I'm asking because I'm trying to sell it, and I have a buyer ready for tomorrow, so I need to know what to do. Besides that, I just remove the SIM Card and the buyer just put's their SIM Card in it and it will work for them?

16Gb excellent condition, unlocked/jailbroke 3Gs on Ebay = $389
8Gb excellent condition, unlocked/jailbroke 2G on Ebay = $210

minus ebay, paypal and shipping fees

Now that I am returning my i4, kinda wish I had that 3Gs back :(

Oh well, I have another 2G with a defective touch screen that I plan on replacing.

New digitizer kit, battery, complete cover set for a 2G = $60.

I feel i sold low on my phone, but made out like bandent for my wifes, so it all evened out:

My phone: 3GS 32 gig, jailbroken with free otterbox case = $350
My wife's: 3gs 16 gig NOT jailbroken with no extra's = $400

I don't know if i got ripped off selling my 32 gig or if i ripped someone off selling my 16 gig. The 32 gig was sold days after WWDC, the 16 gig was sold yesturday.
