Its hard for me to waste money when I barely make any :/ and it all goes to gas and books haha. college ftw it'll pay off

i just realized this am that i was spending $4.46 every morning for breakfast on my way out to town...
that works out to $1628.00 a year if i don't get an extra item with the meal...
ate at home, it cost me $1.24 for what i made...
$1175.00 difference for the year average...
lets say you go thu a 2 ltr rotgut a day , $1.82 x 365 = $665.00 a year...
$4.20 a pack cigs x 365= $1533.00

a 6 pack of beer at $5.30 x 365 = $1935.00...
no wonder so many people are broke !
think how many macs you could buy with the money wasted on those fags and brewskis !

 I think you need to cut down on the beer!!!

Starbucks and Happy hours.

Starbucks maybe 3 times per week, I get a Starbucks Double shot so its only 3 dollars. Still ~500 per year.

Happy hour about once every 2 weeks, sometimes more. About 700 dollars per year.

I have cut back though. I went back to school and am living off of graduate loans and savings. Used to be daily starbucks and happy hour 2 times per week, with buying food nearly every day.

i probabally give McDonalds about $500 a year... the thought makes me kind of sick.. it also makes me want a big mac right now.

Up until 3 weeks ago, it used to be Tax, Drugs, Drink and Cigs.

Now I'm on a rehabilitation corse I guess it will just be tax in the future.

I've been considering moving to russia to avoid tax as well. :D

Define "waste". If I enjoy it, it's not a waste to me.
yeahh, i mean im only 17 (uk resident) and have earnt about £5000 over the past year and a half in my part time job, but i do NOT have £5000s worth of stuff to show. i mean, i added up all of the clothes, technology and stuff that i bought, nowhere near. I think most of my money goes on those invisible money burners... topping up my phone, my monthly magazine... and then ironically, food whilst im at work! on a bad day i can spend around 7/8 quid on a saturday at work (as i get 3 breaks) and considering im earning around £40 on that day, thats pretty awful :| infact, just typing this has made me realise it...
man, ima start making packed lunch more often :|

Im sure i could save hundreds of dollars a year by waiting for things to go on sale, but im an inpatient person. Clothes is a good example. A lot of times I buy something thats in-season so its full price. One or 2 months later its 60% off  and im getting the same exact thing....

if someone is drinking a 6-pack of beer a day, they are an alcoholic and wasting money is the least of their problems.

Although I appreciate the direction you are taking here it can't be considered 'waste' per say. You purchased sustenance at a higher cost due to the service component as opposed to your performing the labor at home.
