I've had:

2 MacBook Pros: $4000
1 MacBook: $1200
2 iMacs: $2500
2 iPod Nanos: $300
1 iPhone: $500

I've spend approximately $8500 on Apple products in the last few years. The thing is, I've sold most of that stuff off by now. I'm always upgrading, trading, and selling... :D

iMac $1800
MBP $2100
iPod mini $300 (gift for daughter 2005)
30GB 5th Gen iPod $300
8GB iPhone $500 (gift for daughter iday 2007)
8GB iPhone $300

Looks like $5300 for me.

A lot. Let's see:

- 15" Powerbook G4 (Ti): ~$2,000
- 15" Powerbook G4 (Alu): ~$2,000
- 13" Macbook Black: ~$1,500

- 40GB Ipod Photo: ~$300
- 1GB iPod Shuffle: ~$50
- 8Gb iPhone: ~$400

Total: ~$6,250

Add the cost of a 900MHz iBook (that was the high end one) when it was still being sold, obviously, a 1GB iPod nano first gen (when they where new), a 1GB iPod shuffle first gen (when they where new), a iPod touch 8GB, and a 2.1GHz Penryn MacBook, and thats how much I spent.

Probably almost £2,000.

Lets add it up.

iPod 1st Generation 10GB: $500
iPod 3rd Generation 10GB: $300

iBook G4 14" 1.42GHz: $1100 after rebate
iPod Color 20GB: Free, after rebate
ProCare: $100
.Mac: (2 years) $165...eBay
AppleCare for iBook: $189
iBook G4 Battery: $130

MacBook C2D 2.0GHz: $1200
AppleCare: $189

MacBook C2D 2.2GHz Black: $1400
AppleCare: $189

MacBook Pro C2D 2.2GHz: $1650
AppleCare: $200

iPhone: $400 (x3)

iPhone 3G: $300
---------------------

$8812....now some of that might be wrong, I dont remember the prices will all of them. I am sure I bought some other stuff, might be missing 2 iPods, I went from 10GB to 15GB to 20GB. Sales tax brings it to about $10,400. Its up there for me, and still climbing.

OK, let's see.

4G 20 GB iPod -$300, I think.
1G 512 MB Shuffle. $80?
1G 1GB Shuffle- $100
5.5G iPod Video- $279
1.83 GHz Mac mini- $800
1.33 GHz iBook G4- $525
2G 4GB iPod mini - $100

Total = $2184. Oof, that's a lot more then I thought. Note to self, cut back on Apple purchases.

Hm.

MacBook Pro - Dhs. 8,900
MacBook - Dhs. 5,560
iMac G5 - Dhs. 1,500 (Second Hand.)
iPhone 16GB - Dhs. 3,200
iPod Nano - Dhs. 640
iPod Photo (When they were new.) - Dhs. 700

Total - Dhs. 20,500.

Meh.

Ok, first the Apple computers... i have gifted many of these on or gave them originally as gifts, but I think I still have about eight of them around here somewhere.

some Apple IIc or so thing for a nephew
mac 512k
powerbook 170
powerbook 1400c
two clamshells, tangerine one and the lime SE
one of those fruit colored G3 desktops, tangerine one
three g3 ibooks - 700Mhz, two 900MHz
two g4 ibooks - i think they were both 14"
a 15" Ti G4 powerbook
two 15" G4 powerbooks
three 12" G4 powerbooks
one MacBook Air (so far)

so... 19 Apple computers... about 9 of them refurbs.. they all still do work except the Apple IIc, i don't know what happened to that one, and one of the G3 powerbooks was destroyed in a house fire. The Mac512k has to warm up a little before the drive will read the boot disk which amazingly still works.

That must be around $20k with the applecares on a lot of them.

Then ipods, about 30 of them including gifts, probably about $6k under the bridge for all of that stuff and applecares on the high end ones.

So probably $30k by time i figure in OS buys, iLifes, some Appleworks, an iWork, cases for the pods and stuff like that. I always buy a single user license of latest OS the machine will take when I gift a machine onward. Wipe the machine, get with the new owners and set the machine up with them on their internet access point, so they get a good opening experience with their "new to them" Mac.

one or two good printers, bunch of crappy freebies.

And a bunch of external drives.... remember SCSI drives and Syquest carts?

Bunch of firewire and fw-usb drives, some flash drives.

And then there's the iTunes Store... gulp... they smile when they see me log in.

But so what. Some people plunk down $45k for one ol' pickup truck!

Personally, probably about $90K over 2.5 years. Workwise, somewhere in the region of $800K over almost 3 years including service and development costs - but could be a lot more. They're just off the top of the head additions of things which stand out to me the most.
